The Overwatch developer response to the ranked issue we have right now made me so happy and I’m still full of hope, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed that there haven’t been any quick, minor changes to it. 50 wins per role to get on top500, leaderboard releasing way too fast for that amount of wins, and 10+min queue times makes me not want to play it at all. Last season I just barely managed to get my third role onto the leaderboard on the last day, and I play this game full time. It’s simply too much with too little time. One of the goals of the 50 win requirement is to force high elo players to play the game more, but it does the opposite. In some cases it’s too much and people don’t want to play 20+ hours just to be able to see their rank move (before 50 wins it says GM1 max rank, no percentile), and for most others they immediately quit after hitting 50 wins because they’re burnt out and rushed it for a high placement early season. If the leaderboard really does come out this week, top500 will be Diamond again. I understand these issues are not easily solved. IMO we need some form of decay or season reset to encourage high elo players to play more, but I feel like the current form, 50wins/leaderboard releasing in 1 week, is the worst it could be and any hot fix could save it. Increase the week or decrease the wins. It sucks waiting in a 15 minute support queue and then losing, and you care way more about the wins when you have to get 50 of them just to see your rank.

Update for @washjustice fans regarding @ELLIVOTE and @LullSiSH: Unfortunately given the current length of the visa process and our last game being 8/18 they will not be making it in time to participate in the @overwatchleague this season. Looking forward to their debut in 2020!
