@ratztro While it sounds good and fair, top players who annoy you now with HC will just switch to other top 1.
And as someone who picked up Nier after her nerfs at her lowest... The feeling is not great to play a dead character.

fighting game devs need to be more comfortable with nerfing a character just because they've been at the top of the meta for too long.
we don't need happy chaos to be carefully balanced just shatter his knees with a shovel and throw him to bottom 5 and nobody would complain.

@u1f63a they're probably taking away his ability to link spells into staff or some shit so he can't hold you in 3 year long blockstrings but in exchange they're letting him scratch your nuts when his mana is low idk they might be smoking meth in them offices we'll have to wait and see

@ratztro I’m just waiting to see it in practice. It’s one thing to say “we got a battle pass :)” and another to say “our battle pass will dominate your life and finances >:)” I am curious how short stories gonna work. I’m assuming slice of life shit but will this just kill an actual story

i see a lot of people complaining about the battle pass who don't seem to understand that they can't just make new content for free.
the 5 bucks per bp is to fund that extra content and, as long as it isn't fomo based (PLEASE ARCSYS), it's a pretty good deal imo

BIG fan of all the changes we're seeing for strive 2.0, really into the UI skins, and I think the battle pass is necessary to ensure the game can make enough to keep up updates and new content. STORY SHORTS BEING LOCKED BEHIND A PASS THO...TIME TO LOCK IN LORE HEADS

5 bucks for character skins, accessories, ui customization, character stories etc is crazy i just pray they don't lock you out of progressing it or buying it after a certain time period because that shit is what makes battle passes predatory and bad

could have just had her be presumed dead by yuji for a while and bring her back before the culling games and the story would have played out basically the same but her "dying" for like 100+ chapters didn't progress the story at all it was just for shock factor
