Ball hits the cable, drops dead, and England scores a goal that should have been disallowed. But the chip in the ball registered no impact, probably because the ball flew above the sensor range. Worse, the referees didn’t even bother to look or assess the situation. We delegated judgment and common sense to technology. But when there is a single silent failure in the tech, no one is able to make their own calls. It's the same trap we're walking into with AI-assisted everything. Think about it.
FIFA Media@fifamedia

Before England’s goal in minute 45+2 against Norway, the sensor in the Connected Ball showed no peak in the 'heartbeat of the ball' when in the air, and therefore no evidence that the ball touched the overhead wire and changed the movement of the ball.

@unclebobmartin Out of curiosity, which plan are you on? I'm seeing this complaint a lot, and I wonder whether it would make more sense to use a Cursor subscription instead, since it includes Grok 4.5 usage in its first-party model pool, which is supposed to be quite generous.

two days of swarming with grok and I've consumed over half my token allowance. I'm switching back to codex.

@thsottiaux Focus is key. One monster app that does everything kills focus. Which makes me doubt the success of the apps among builders moving forward . Codex was great because it was a focused dev tool build with taste. Yesterday's update took both of those things away. Sadly.

Codex limit reset vs. Claude limit reset Nice to get a reset! But Claude is doing something wrong if that reset doesn't also give you a whole week with the fresh limit.

@raycast Did that first and is the most convenient way. But in my case I also wanted to see the old icon 🙃

I hate the Codex to ChatGPT rebrand 🤢 Updating the dock icon isn't enough for me, and I need to see the old Codex icon and name when I search in Raycast. So I made a @raycast script to launch Codex without making me sick: gist.github.com/raulgg/96a37f2…

@OpenAIDevs Uuuuugh I'd prefer to keep the development tools separate and focused. But I guess this was something many users wanted. I guess I'll switch to another app that uses the CLI underneath.

We’re bringing Codex and ChatGPT together in one desktop app. The same powerful coding agent, now alongside ChatGPT Work, with new coding workflows, a new Chrome extension, revamped in-app browser, and faster Computer Use powered by GPT-5.6. x.com/OpenAI/status/…
OpenAI@OpenAI

Introducing ChatGPT Work, a new agent in ChatGPT powered by Codex and GPT-5.6. It can take action across your apps and files, stay with a project for hours if needed, and turn a goal into finished work. It’s a whole new way to get work done.

Good intentions or not, this is a dangerous step. Allowing platforms to scan private messages and media like this is a slippery slope for everyone's privacy and freedom. Not to mention the shady technique of re-voting the extension until it passes. Democracy and privacy are losing in Europe.

The permanent Chat Control 2.0 is still being discussed, but this temporary version already normalizes the scan of everyone's private content. Once society gets used to this and accepts it as normal, it will be much easier to expand it further later.

Today is a horrible day for privacy and democracy in the EU 🇪🇺 Chat Control 1.0 passed again. Even if it isn't the big permanent Chat Control 2.0, this is still bad as it's a temporary derogation of the ePrivacy Directive, allowing the scan of private messages and media. 👇

@NielsRogge @cursor_ai you can switch off fast mode, plus the Composer usage counts towards the "Auto" usage pool, which is more generous than the API usage pool

FYI, when you use Composer 2.5 in @cursor_ai, it defaults to "Composer 2.5 (Fast)" The fast version is 6x more expensive than Composer 2.5. The pricing is the same as Sonnet 5. Hence, kinda pointless to use Composer 2.5 (Fast) if Sonnet 5 is available, I think
