@BrianNiemeier Peggy Charren is her name. And she resembles a certain Peggy Hill when I look at her now.
Am I schizoing or are there more connections than ever?

@Pirat_Nation Knowing what kind of backlash will occur, I went and bought it (it's cheap anyhow) in case Steam is forced to remove it.
Looks really silly for a game.

A controversial game called Plantation Simulator has been released on Steam and is receiving huge backlash from people calling it a slavery simulator.
The game is described on Steam as a simple farming simulator where players motivate workers to work on a plantation.
But the gameplay centers on a whipping mechanic applied to Black workers to increase productivity.
The developer has described it as:
“In this game, you will be whipping black people to keep your farm productive. If you whip your black person too much, they will die.”

I genuinely miss when being a nerd with nerdy hobbies was stigmatized by the general public.
I much preferred being made fun of by normies for having weird interests to now having my hobbies dumbed down by corporate in a vain attempt to appeal to them.

Holy fucking... I did not want to wake up to this tragic news
He was a literal legendary voice actor. The impact he had on anime is immense. May he rest in peace and I pray for his family
EDIT: Apparently its a Translation error and its a different voice actor and not Zaraki's
Even still may he rest in peace. Still a legend of a VA.

@10Mlaw @GiveMeBanHammer That's exactly what crossed my mind when I read the post!

I am having a serious schizo problem and I cannot seem to stop...
I am still very curious as to why Mixtape managed to get all the game journalists to give it a 10/10, even getting glowing publicity from BAFTA too.
Especially after completing the experience myself...and thoroughly disliking it. Its just, horrible - and now it makes me further baffled, what do the Game Journalists see in this?
The characters were not likeable except maybe Jenny and Cassandra's father - the MC is honestly a self-centred and selfish person...but ok I am getting too side tracked over that.
Weird:
I got curious, so i did a bit of light digging - and I think I found a possible angle as to why Mixtape got all these high uncritical praises from so many game journalists. This angle is, well its a "nostalgic" angle.
The star of the show, is the current Head of Anapurna Games after the ENTIRE old Anapurna team resigned (the same team that scouted and greenlit Stray and Outer Wilds fyi)...
Current head of Anapurna Games, Leanne Loombe.
Leanne has quite the pedigree on her, based on her public Linkedin. The most important roles relevant for me however were two roles:
1. Board member at BAFTA
2. Board member at Wings Interactive.
Now maybe I am being a little bit of melodramatic or a schizo, but with the BAFTA angle, it explains why BAFTA had been giving Mixtape so much positive publicity via their social media accounts...and I expect some BAFTA awards going to Mixtape too.
As for the Wings Interactive angle - well its the same Wings Interactive that Sweet Baby Inc was attached to, and is also incidentally the same Wings Interactive that Anita Sarkeesian provided consultancy for via Wings' projects.
As we have seen since 2014 or even earlier, anything that has Anita Sarkeesian's influence in it, would instantly be receiving glowing praise or defense from Games Media. This include friends or people who closely work with Anita...like Leanne Loombe.
Furthermore if we know our 2014 History, we would know how EASY it is for Games Journalists band together to give either the most glowing of press for their friends or people who traded favours with them...or the most horrible of smears to those who they personally dislike, or those whom their friends dislike.
With all these strange connections being implied from observing all these public information - should I be surprised that so many game journalists kept giving Mixtape 10/10? No.
INB4 I get some comments:
For those of you who unironically think that I am merely obsessing over Mixtape...let me ask you this question.
Would you take credit ratings agencies seriously in 2008, back as they said sub-prime mortgages were "blue chip investments", when you found out that the financial institutions selling these sub-prime mortgages, are collaborating with the same credit rating agencies...whether because those working at the agencies are personal friends of people in the financial institutions, or received kickbacks for giving good ratings to horrible investments?
Think of that question in your head, then get back to me and if you think I am merely talking about Mixtape in a vacuum...
OR am I instead talking about a Games Media Industry again being exposed as being so broken and nepotistic with some parts of the Games Industry and "Games Consultancy", to the point that they will trade favours with one another for positive or negative press, depending on what each other wants.
This is my opinion at the end of the day though.

Valve has asked the court to throw out the New York Attorney General’s lawsuit, citing Pokémon cards, Happy Meals, and Labubus, accusing the company of illegal gambling through Counter-Strike weapon skin “cases.”
The lawsuit claims these mystery “cases” in Counter-Strike 2 and CS:GO let players, including kids, gamble real money by paying for a chance at rare virtual items
In a 42-page filing on May 19, Valve says the “cases” do not count as gambling under New York law because players always get a random weapon skin for the money they pay, just like buying sealed packs of baseball cards, Pokémon cards, or the toy in a cereal box.
The company says there is no “stake” or chance of losing money, as it is just the surprise element common in collectibles.
Valve warns that the Attorney General’s idea could make normal activities illegal, such as parents buying trading cards for their kids or families playing arcade games. The filing notes that these loot boxes have been sold for over ten years without objection from any other U.S. state.
Valve wants the court to dismiss the whole case “with prejudice.” If denied, the lawsuit seeks triple damages on billions of dollars Valve made, plus an order to stop sales to New York residents.
