@kausmickey Would this story be as powerful without the anecdotal lead? I’m not sure.

Aaron Glenn offered his thoughts on Fernando Mendozas leaked comments about George Floyd: “I think it’s disgusting. I think it would be a disservice to the league to take a player like that #1 overall in this draft.”

@shipwreckedcrew And it's like a Zimbardo Experiment: since there's no pushback or consequences for bad behavior, Porter becomes a growling seething arrogant maniac while Swalwell farts along grabbing girls and taking illegal payments to himself all day long.

When you have a one-party state the demands lockstep voting in the ranks, no leaders emerge, only followers.

@shipwreckedcrew Almost 40 million people live in California and those two humps are the best the Democratic Party can put forward to run for governor?

The thing about all these Eric Swalwell revelations is that ALL of them were known for years. But the media worked with the Democrat establishment to keep them quiet as long as Swalwell was useful. Now, because the California governor race has become a fiasco that might actually lead to a Republican winning unless a couple of Dems drop out to consolidate the vote, he needs to go. And like clockwork, here comes the orchestrated campaign of sexual harassment claims to end his career. To be sure, Swalwell is garbage and deserves everything bad that's coming to him. But it's just amazing how the Democrats can just push a button and the machinery of the media and legal system just springs into action to eject someone from the party. This is a guy who was caught sleeping with a Chinese spy for years, with actual evidence that he compromised national security in the process, and he remained completely protected and elevated as a major national figure. But as soon as the math stops working on the CA governor race, it all collapses underneath him. Wild stuff.

I have been working with a number of women who are in the process of coming forward and sharing their stories of sexual harassment and even alleged abuse at the hands of Eric Swalwell. Here’s why we’re talking about it before mainstream media: 🧵

George Marshall as Army Chief of Staff served most of his term under Secretary of War Henry Stimson, a most distinguished statesman. Marshall did not act on his own. The position of Secretary of War had jurisdiction over the U.S. Army and was abolished in 1947. Pete He❤️sDeath is the Secretary of Defense, no matter what his$2 billion vanity plate says. The Navy was overseen by the Secretary of the Navy (position demoted in 1947 when the Secretary of Defense position was created to take over all the military and the Secretary of the Navy was no longer a Cabinet office and the position of Secretary of the Army was created). A graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School, Henry Stimson served as an Army artillery officer World War I and obtained the rank of Brigadier General. This was the man who served as Secretary of War under FDR and Harry Truman during WWII. A Republican, Stimson had served as Secretary of War under President Taft and as Secretary of State under President Hoover, during which he created the Stimson Doctrine holding that puppet countries created by aggression would not be recognized as valid states. Stimson also served as Governor-General of the Philippines and U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of New York. He was not some f—in’ loon who was an op-ed columnist for the Hearst newspaper chain with a side-hustle of a Father Couglin-like radio broadcast, which would have been the contemporary equivalent of Pete He💘sDeath’s career.

WWII was not a war started by a U.S. president to deflect from accusations of child rape. General Marshall was not a former TV personality with zero experience commanding troops. tell your MAGA friends.
rcoery@rcoery

@JoyceCarolOates General George Marshall fired countless officers (600 colonels and 30+ generals) just prior to World War 2. He fired 16 generals DURING the war- their divisions were in active combat.

If Clarence Thomas or Samuel Alito retire in Trump’s term, keep the Federalist Society away from any decision making about their replacements. They gave us Gorsuch, Barrett, and Kavanaugh who are shaping up to be more like John Roberts than Thomas and Alito. I want Mike Lee, Ron DeSantis, and Andrew Bailey in charge of the search committee for replacements. They would make sure the most lethal, right-wing, conservative justices are picked, more conservative than even Thomas and Alito, if that’s even possible. If we replace Thomas and Alito with more Barrett’s, we’re handing the Supreme Court over to the Democrats. Trump’s first 3 picks don’t have what it takes to defend the Constitution and save the country. His next 2 (if he gets those picks) MUST. Follow: @WallStreetMav

@SpatialPhysics @EndWokeness I got my hair cut in a working class neighborhood in Ghana. People followed me in to watch. The barber spoke to the crowd in the Akan language as he cut and took clumps of hair around for everyone to see and touch. They were fascinated. We should have sold tickets.

It's kind of interesting how bullshit works. I've always 'heard' complaints of White folk frequently touching Black folk's hair—but have never, not even one time seen it. On the contrary, I have had the experience on numerous occasions (when I was younger and more attractive) of random Black girls touching my hair, on the bus, or on a ride at Knott's Berry Farm or as a life guard. This didn't bother me because I fully understood the dynamics: they weren't dissing me and each time said I had nice hair and it was so straight. They were curious and that's not a crime. I wouldn't do it personally —but I get it. The reason why I've experienced it on multiple occasions, is because I'm the common denominator in my own existence, so when I cross the path of 10,000 Black folk in my life, there's going to be a handful that touch the hair. It's mathematically inevitable. But, like me, most Black folk have probably never witnessed a Black person doing this to a White person (other than now that it's become a thing) because most don't do it. I'm guessing the hair touching thing is probably equally applied because we have different hair and humans can be touchy. It's just White folks don't care enough to bitch about it as much, and that's fine. But just realize, it's not a White thing: it seems to be a 'humans with different physiology' thing.
