Hollywood doesn't get much right since the mid-90s. The Terminator movies post T-2 have all been disappointing. That said, the dystopian future in Terminator Salvation had some fascinating creative elements. What I liked about the menacing T-600 is how they successfully tapped into a more primitive appearance, by not only making it larger and clunkier, but also how the massive mandible resonates with now-extinct archaic humans such as Neanderthals. (Admittedly, Neanderthals maybe weren't as archaic as we initially thought.)

That is their economic model and their virtue shield. Successful business owners are seen as greed-driven evil. The state taking their money and giving it out to someone else, no matter who or what it's for, is ultimately the moral thing to do.
