Yesterday, for @BusinessDayNg, I attempted the incredibly difficult task of explaining, in around 900 words, how Africa’s most iconic national liberation movement collapsed into Africa’s most visibly xenophobic society. TLDR: There are specific drivers in South Africa but these are part of a global pattern growing from the carnage of neoliberal policies.
