Signed, sealed, delivered! Earlier today, I delivered 3,904 signatures to qualify for the 6/16 Special Election for the independent seat on the DC Council. My campaign checks our signatures prior to turning in, and we had an 86% validity rate, meaning 3,357 are verified voters!

Congratulations to Kevin. These are the stories that motivate me to keep building our movement. Kevin was recently released after 8 years, literally lived next door to my mom. Passed his road test on the first attempt. Shout out to CDL Lot Mgr John Dickens and his team.

Weve been trying to fix this for years. 3,500 IT professionals, average salary is $75,000. Nearly 2,000 HOPE Project IT Grads were 18-24 when they enrolled. This is our recommended crime stopper. Cybersecurity professionals don't carjack.

As a City we should be using this moment to double down on interventions and programming…. We should do a resource surge to mirror the law enforcement one

An idea: The influential @FedCityCouncil, whose membership includes 100s of DC's biggest employers, help out the mayor by pledging to employ & mentor every high school, UDC student who wants a job. That's tackles career pipeline, income inequality and public safety all in one.

The litany of challenges @MayorBowser now faces in her third term is as long as any she has encountered since taking office. And for the first time as mayor, she’ll need to navigate these hurdles without her most trusted adviser: washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/…
