@govtworstfear @FSAPOJake @pcgamer To be fair, OSRS is just a game. The people who really care about the market are Jagex, GE flippers, and "investors". 99% of people just don't care about this invisible stuff at play, and rightfully so. Venezuelans are just the people they PK at revs for a quick mil.

@jyunkourokai @rsxsupremacy @CHA_0327 It's an unfortunate byproduct of shortcuts in american conversation. If you want to make it easier you'd literally have to use fully constructed sentences from English learners book and simple language.

The Pope failed a bank security check — they simply didn’t believe him Pope Leo XIV tried to update his details with a U.S. bank where he holds an account. He personally called customer support, answered security questions, and asked to change his phone number and address. But the bank employee refused to make any changes and told him to come to a branch in person. The pontiff then asked, “What if I tell you I’m Pope Leo?” — the operator simply hung up. The story was shared by the Pope’s close friend, priest Tom McCarthy. According to The New York Times, the issue was later resolved.

@FSAPOJake @pcgamer Jagex is not the money printer of GP. The Venezuelans are. They farmed more GP than ever because its more profitable and due to the country being unstable. Bonds are the stable commodity (REAL gold.) while GP is cash (printed, vulnerable to inflation and market dynamics)

@rayelgun @pcgamer The price of bonds only slightly steadily went up from 2016 to 2023, and then suddenly went up significantly as soon as Jagex started raising the price of membership and bonds. It's not a coincidence.

@FSAPOJake @pcgamer The REAL price of a bond did not change. (7-8 USD) The value of gold was decreased because of oversupply. 7.5m for bond mid 2023, approx 15m nowadays. Bonds USD dont cost double last time I checked

@FSAPOJake @pcgamer Bonds cost around 7 USD and only raised very recently. It did not multiply in price. Bonds is set at 7-8USD by Jagex. The amount of gold exchanged is determined by the Venezuelans and how much they value hourly rate. The price of bonds did not ramp up like this chart.

@FSAPOJake @pcgamer Unfortunately, Bondflation is real. OSRS GP is devalued when bonds tick up in real world price.

@1_missthesun @Pirat_Nation The key point is that its not an opt in scenario. When I load a Youtube video, I want to watch the video. Not everyone wants to use Gemini. The opt in rate for these features is low.

Google Chrome is quietly downloading a roughly 4 GB AI model to many users’ computers without clear upfront consent. The file, called weights.bin, is part of Google’s Gemini Nano on-device language model and lands in the browser’s user data folder under OptGuideOnDeviceModel. It powers built-in AI tools such as “Help me write,” smarter tab suggestions, on-device scam detection, and page summarization. The download triggers automatically for devices meeting minimum hardware requirements, and Chrome often replaces the files if deleted. While the model processes data locally, installation happens in the background with minimal notification. The scale is noteworthy. Hundreds of millions or billions of installations add up to thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions globally from data transfer, even though each is a one-time event. To prevent or remove it, go to chrome://flags, disable the entries for the optimization guide on-device model and Prompt API, restart the browser, and manually delete the folder.

@BobDEithKC Global oil prices have nothing to do with domestic pricing. If that were true, gas in IRAN wouldn't be 15 CENTS PER GALLON.

😣 Trevor…you know that oil ⛽️ prices are set globally and local gas prices would not be impacted by a pipeline. You know that it is because of the war in Iran. Stop misleading the public man.
