@EthanWayne2001 @YoungPenitent You hit the nail on the head for being a contrarian? Anyone holding contrary views and expresses them on a space that the know people hold the opposite view will get the same reaction no matter what side of the political spectrum..That doesn’t automatically make you right

Josiah Trenham is clearly trying to use Orthodoxy as a means of promoting his reactionary politics. I don’t understand how some can’t see this. It’s very concerning, and it is unbecoming of his priesthood and an insult to our Church and faith.

@MiddleMindset @AngloVarangian Read Eustatrios Argenti by Met Kallistos Ware he goes into that time periods history …If you read some of our synods during that period like Jerusalem 1672 you can see the strong Latin influence addressing Cyril Lucaris who was influenced by Calvinist theologians

So an Orthodox community changes the date they celebrate Pascha for ecumenism? Sounds like something Saints Paisios and Seraphim Rose warned against.
Eastern christians@Easternchristns

#Orthodox and #Catholics unite every year in Dhour El Choueir, #Lebanon, celebrating #PalmSunday and #Easter together on the same day. To avoid division, the village chooses one common date for the #Resurrection, bringing the #Maronite, Catholic, and Orthodox churches together.

@ThePolemikOne @AnaniasFather It’s not only PSA they are arguing for I’ve also seen them argue against the mainstream understanding of the Monarchy of the father, arguing for Monophysitism saying it’s the same as composite hypostasis , I’ve seen that most haven’t been trained in seminaries

@djvlad Then according to your logic Israel shouldn’t exist because claims to that land is based off of religious principles.

I honestly wish religion had never existed. Imagine how far we would be as a species if humanity consistently pursued evidence-based, rational answers instead of constructing narratives around imagined deities.

If you did something shameful in the past, you should be ashamed of that and keep it private. You dont get a medal, people will keep bringing it up. Remember, controversy is currency today. All these mentions and clicks make them lots of money. These people love money more than their honor and family intimacy. All these ex prostitutes coming publicly out as born again and airing this to the public deserve all the backlash they're getting.
Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey@RelatablewABS

The backlash to @TrevorSheatz’s viral X post has been HUGE. Some people responded saying, "I can't believe you just called your wife a wh*re." He did not call his wife that. You called his wife that. You called another man's wife that. You called a new creation— someone redeemed by Christ, sanctified, made new, and washed clean— a wh*re. That is on you. Not her husband. The hyper patriarchy bros who call themselves Christians out there who just want to take any opportunity not only to denigrate women, but to denigrate the work of the Gospel… it's just insane. It's a very obvious tenet of Christianity that you have become a new creation. Somehow that’s now being treated like it’s controversial?

Imagine you get married and the first thing your husband does is go online and tell everyone what a whore you used to be 💀 why am I feeling like women often become “radically born again” the minute they begin to notice those fine lines.
Trevor Sheatz@TrevorSheatz

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

@thaddeusthought I’m happy to hear this..It’s unfortunate how many people both in and outside the church are going too far to the opposite of extreme of leftism out of reaction to the anti whiteness that has been going on for some time in that space…It’s an obvious psy op trying to separate us

@rb_1206 @El_Xico99 @MedWhiteAcolyte No, thats not my position at all - I never denied its Jewish origin. Read the original comment of mine. I said the comparison between Europeans colonising and forcing American Natives to convert to Christianity and the spread of Christianity in Europe, are total different things.

@rb_1206 @El_Xico99 @MedWhiteAcolyte Yapp, you are right, except with your point, that Jews converted us into Christianity. It were the Greek and Roman minorities who are responsible for 98% of the conversions in Europe. Yes of course it originated from Jewish related context.

@die_vorsehung @El_Xico99 @MedWhiteAcolyte It doesn’t matter if the majority of conversions would later come from other Europeans .Of course it would be that way because there are a lot more Europeans in Europe than Jews I can say the same of Ethiopian conversions or Assyrian etc..The source is still Jewish and without
