After traveling with young kids a lot recently and experiencing airports in a whole new way, it’s clear our society staunchly prioritizes “seniors” over families with young children and I have become a single issue voter on reversing this hierarchy

Of my colleagues, none have been able to frustrate and anger, amuse and engage me in a single conversation the way Lindsey could. We travelled the world together, and while we disagreed fiercely on many policy issues, he was both wonderfully complicated and a positive and tireless partner on the bills we led together. Just this past week, we traveled to the NATO summit and had dinner together to celebrate his birthday. We were brainstorming ideas for how we could continue to legislate together, and it’s painful to consider that I won’t get that chance. I will deeply miss him, his humor, his global view, and his tireless optimism. Annie and I are keeping his family, including his beloved sister Darline, in our prayers.

Graham sought to end this terrible war on terms that preserve Ukrainian independence. The Senate should go to work.

Lindsey Graham was an old-school statesman – a rare thing in politics today. Charming and quick-witted, but always serious when it mattered.   And he never wavered in his belief that America must lead the world, stand by its allies, and defeat its enemies.   Rest in peace, Lindsey. You will be missed.

Look. I’m not American. I don’t understand Lindsey Grahams politics. But I do know. That in a sea of Republicans that had been compromised by ruSSia. He stood and spoke for Ukraine. That’s all I really care about. So. Thank you, Lindsey. Rest in Peace.

Lindsay Graham has been on my radar from the moment I started paying attention to politics. Like a lot of people, I liked his interventionist foreign policy after 9/11, soured on it later. I enjoyed the jokes about him - closeted and all that. Disagreed mostly in recent years. But the guy was a force. He had backbone with Kavanaugh, which is faintly amusing when you juxtapose it against his recent solo visit to Disney World wandering around like a little kid. He apparently had a small net worth, meaning he wasn’t trading on his office the way most do. Just sad to see him leave the stage, and it reminds everyone that this thing isn’t forever.
