Instead of eliminating Day Light Savings Time they are making it permanent.
Trust me you will not like it!!!
If you live in a northern state? Winters are going to suck even harder.
You will get an extra hour of darkness in the mornings.
What they should do is make Standard Time permanent and trash Day Light Savings time once and for all.

What's not mentioned is that these people didn't just convert to mainstream Eastern Orthodoxy but Oriental Orthodoxy (those that rejected the two natures of Christ ("true God and true man") as defined by the Council of Chalcedon in the 5th century).
They entered through the Syriac Orthodox Church, which, along with the Copts, Ethiopians, and Armenians, makes up this much smaller but vibrant group of churches that are in communion with each other.

Little known fact, Guatemala has the largest Orthodox Christian population in the Hemisphere (per capita) Guatemala has over 200k Eastern Orthodox Christians and growing. We also (possibly) had the largest single mass conversion to Orthodoxy since the times of the Kievan Rus.

Although, when Pope Francis came to Krakow in 2016, several hundred thousand people attended masses. And Francis wasn't Poland's favorite pope, to put it mildly...

@LeadingReport Did that in the 70s. It was a disaster as people can't go to bed in the summer (sun doesn't set till 10 p.m.) and people won't see the sun in the winter (doesn't rise till 9 a.m. and sets at 5 p.m.). Standard Time should be permanent.

St. Bernadette Church in Arizona painted its sanctuary in 2021.
This is a beautiful example of the power of painting. Minimal structural renovations were done in this case.
It was a team of talented artists with a blank canvas and God-breathed inspiration, who took this church from a conference room to a soul-lifting house of worship.

Found out today that some friends of ours, trads, have only one kid left practicing the faith because the kids grew up to run from the overly strict moral views of their parents. Begging you good folks to make our faith first about encounter and friendship with Christ and to avoid being too strict and imposing more than the Church does. I’ve seen it break so many over the years. Let your kids enjoy things, provided they are not sinful. I’m begging you. Don’t wrap your own hang-ups in the Catholic identity.
