Liverpool is undergoing a cultural transformation unparalleled in its history. If this change is not addressed and stopped, it will spell the end of our city as a Scouse one. The cultural assault on our glorious city has played out before in once proud and historic communities across Britain; the once unique and proud Cockney community of the East End of London is now nonexistent, serving as one of many examples that have led to an irreversible change and loss of distinct character, status, and identity in historic communities, only to be replaced by a culture that is unfamiliar, unwelcoming, and even hostile. We cannot let Liverpool, our one and only Scouse home, undergo a similar fate. Therefore, I call upon all my Scouse brothers and sisters, whom I love with all my heart, to stand firm against the reckless politicians who are dooming our wonderful city to cultural disaster, risking the relegation of our Scouse history, its future, and the legacy rightfully belonging to our children, grandchildren, and all those amazing Scousers yet to be born. Come the next council elections, we must rally under a United Scouse Front, standing up as Scousers do, and defend our Scouse home to the end. #Liverpool #Scousers #ScousePride #EastEndofLondon #NoToCulturalChange #CockneySparrows

Interested in parallel between biological (genetic) evolution & (memetic) evolution of language. Mutations arise in both, but language equivalent of selection less clear. “H” was pronounced “Aitch” (as in OED). When did mutant “Haitch” arise? What selection pressure favours it?

Asian guy says the replacement of Whites by Asians in New Zealand is "now LOCKED IN". x.com/TruthFairy131/… I happen to be writing an article now about how the great replacement is now locked in; but I offer a theoretical explanation. Here's an indirect hint to my explanation: The white liberal female wonders in a complacent manner if this might "provoke a little bit of fear" among whites. The Asian guys replies that this is why we need start educating Whites into accepting their replacement as a good thing.

Six months out from November’s midterms and President Trump scores his worst approval ratings ever: Overall, 37% approve, 62% disapprove of his second-term record. On his handling of the Cost of Living, only 23% approve, 76% disapprove. On Inflation it’s 27% v 72% disapproval. On the economy overall it’s 34% approve, 65% disapprove. On Trump’s War with Iran, 66% disapprove, 33% approve. There’s no way back from these dire ratings before November — and the longer the Strait of Hormuz remains closed the worse his approval ratings will get. An entirely self-inflicted albatross. Source: Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll April 24-28, 2026, among 2,560 U.S. adults with an error margin of +/- 2 percentage points.

we don’t have advanced stats for soccer players going far back but my candidate for most overrated player would be Zidane his output just wasn't all that impressive he had a few big moments (goals in world cup final and a spectacular goal in the CL final)

@OleTimeHardball Modern stats say that the legend most overrated is Joe DiMaggio. I'm a big fan of 21st Century analytics, but I don't think I can buy it. DiMaggio was the most famous athlete in the country for a central decade, and _nobody_ at the time felt he was badly overrated.

Antisemitism isn’t the problem in Britain. Islam is. Non-Muslims who hate Jews have bought into the Muslim lies about Palestine, apartheid, and genocide. Islam is the root cause of all the trouble in the Middle East, and now it’s the cause of all the trouble in our country too.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

These kids are probably the welfare class rather than the working class, proving that the more the government steps in to help the worse everything gets. I remember, in my Blair voting days, listening to Ian Duncan Smith get rater emotional over a family on it's third generation of non working benefit takers. He said that they lived a subsistence and a life without structure and purpose, he felt immensely sorry for them. I recall his large house and wealth and thought him disingenuous. But these kids really have no boundaries or structure, their parents don't invest time or effort into them, and the school has moved to a system of easy management as opposed to giving them what they need. What they need is discipline, consequences, purpose, achievement, boundaries and safety which will lead to an actual education. These kids are in Universe 25. (When mice were given "everything on a plate"unlimited food, water, nesting material, and no predators or disease, the utopia turned into a dystopia, resulting in total population extinction. The experiment concluded that when all physical needs are met and the necessity to struggle for survival is removed, life loses its purpose, leading to social collapse and "the death of the spirit")

The "working class" profiled in this Channel 4 doc is largely NOT the traditional or "true" working class. It's closer to a welfare dependent underclass that has been shaped and concentrated by genetic and selective pressures over generations. They focus on white British pupils, especially those on free school meals, a strong proxy for low income/welfare dependent households. Smart, ambitious people aka higher g + better personality profile, leave declining areas for cities, universities, or better opportunities. This isn't new, but deindustrialisation across the north of England has accelerated the brain drain. What's left behind in places like Grimsby and other towns are disproportionately those with lower cognitive ability and suboptimal personality profiles e.g. higher impulsivity, lower future orientation, weaker work ethic, criminality. These are traits that are also substantially heritable and predict poor labor market and social outcomes. The "working class" label still gets applied nostalgically to these areas, but the population has been selectively depleted of its higher functioning segment. So to be clear, these kids are descendents of the post 1960s welfare underclass. They are a self reinforcing underclass and are all that remains after the human capital has left derelict areas. GCSE results reflect population charachteristics more than "the system" failing them. Smart kids still escape when they can. The ones profiled are the ones who can't escape because their inherited traits make escape unlikely. So how do we help these people? Well the one thing our government should absolutely not be doing is flooding these areas with even lower human capital from 3rd world countries.

At his very best, and free of injury, John Stones could rightly be considered a world-class centre-back who gave Manchester City an extra dimension when stepping smoothly into midfield. The Barnsley Beckenbauer has today confirmed he will be leaving City this summer. For large swathes of his decade at City, £47.5m signing from Everton was a “Rolls-Royce” of a defender in the eyes of fans. A class act. Immense in that 22/23 treble season in particular, Stones starred in midfield in the Champions League final win (completed all six of his attempted dribbles against Inter). His trophy haul is astonishing, including six Premier Leagues and that Champions League, but it’s his style that also made him special. Timing: shadowing centre-forwards, knowing when to intervene and pinch the ball with stealth rather than strength. Awareness: that athletic goal-line clearance against Liverpool in January 2019 helped City towards the title; 11 millimetres of the ball hadn’t crossed. Composure: taking the ball under pressure, passing from the back. Versatile: stepping into midfield, creating overloads, joining attacks. Goals: 19 in 293 games, including pouncing for 98th-minute equaliser at Arsenal in 2024, also a threat at corners. Resilient: overlooked by Guardiola for plenty of 2019/20 but worked hard and got back in. Popular: fans love Johnny, Johnny Stones; team-mates love such a likeable guy, Bernardo Silva even named his dog after him. If he can stay fit, and is prepared to drop his wages, Stones will be a sought-after free agent. #MCFC
