But this is countered by knowing that we get the 'whole' 250L usable at 45C rather than relying on a temp stat two-thirds of the way down the cylinder, potentially leaving a slug of colder/tepid water the bottom with less usable. Although this slightly extra 10 min run time does affect COP (by about 0.25) compared to other high performance cylinders. Swings and roundabouts. But with a family of four that need showers, I'm glad for more usable water than COP chasing. 🤣 Saying that though, I do think quite a few of us are now hitting the limits of this little 5kW Vaillant on DHW.
