The story is sad. It happened on Oct 6, 2024. The girl died at Vanderbilt Medical Center lying beside her mother. Laura was then taken into surgery for her broken legs. She remained in the hospital for a while. The body of daughter was shipped to Columbia at request of father. I doubt that Laura was out of the hospital when the funeral happened. I'm pretty sure the Biden Administration was running things in October 2024 - January 20, 2025. Police determined the driver of the car was undocumented. His nephew was arrested for helping him escape to Mexico. There is no information on Laura from any source since mid-October 2024. Anything posted now is of old videos, for example this one points out the police are still looking for information on the driver.

These accounts make me so ashamed of our ruling leadership and its disregard for law and for humanity.

This happened in October 2024. The video is from that time period as they mention the hit and run driver had not been caught yet, but the culprit and an accomplice that helped him escape to Mexico was caught. She was well treated in the Vanderbilt Medical Center. If she went to detention with her broken legs, that was 2024.

Late in April I may get a rubber opportunity. Wife is talking about a trip with a cousin to Boston. Possibly two weeks. I'll still be wheelchair bound but my knee seems strong enough I'll be able to dress, though with some difficulty. 🚨BREAKING: ICE agents are now threatening to arrest U.S. citizens for getting gas in their own neighborhood, in Saint Peter, Minnesota. In the video, agents walk up to the car of a U.S. citizen. She says, “I’m legally observing. I’m legally allowed to be here.” The agent mutters something under his mask and she responds, “I’m legally allowed to be in my vehicle in my own neighborhood.” He then says, “I’m not saying you’re not…” So, if she is not doing anything illegal, why are ICE agents walking up to her car, masked and armed, threatening a U.S. citizen? He then continues saying, “but if you follow me you are going to get arrested.” She tells him, “I’m in my own neighborhood, at my local gas station. This is where I get gas.” And he responds, “This is your one warning.” Again, for what? He already admitted she hasn’t done anything illegal. She repeats, “This is where I get gas.” He turns around and says, “You had your one warning.” And walks away… Threatening arrest when someone is sitting in their own car in a public place is intimidation. You do not lose your First Amendment rights because federal agents feel uncomfortable being watched. Legal experts have repeatedly noted that documenting or observing government activity is generally protected speech, as long as you’re not actually interfering. And any stop or detention still requires specific, articulable suspicion of actual illegal activity… not “you’re making us nervous.” So, we’re now watching a pattern where community members and observers are being threaten, or detain, by ICE agents, for simply being nearby, or monitoring enforcement actions. And that’s illegal. ICE agents are trying to scare people out of exercising their constitutional rights in their own neighborhoods. And once people are too afraid to watch… And too afraid to speak… the Constitution stops meaning anything at all.

If ‘resisting’ is the only charge, there was never a crime.
