A 31-year-old from Soweto just built a wheelchair that can move up, down, and climb stairs. His name? Ernest Majenge. Remember it. Because this is how the world changes. 🌍

Dear Friends I need your help. Remember the Cuba matter with the Department of Arts and Culture denying me off my opportunity? My work was translated in Cuba in a tribute to Ntate Keorapetse Kgositsile. I was chosen alongside SA icon Antjie Krog. The head of department of Arts and Culture refused to bring back my copies of the book because of ego reasons and the deep antagonism I get from the department. When I send messages to the minister spokesperson she ignores them. I just want the copies of my work guys. It’s not fair and it’s so cruel what they are doing. Pls RT far and wide till I get my books from Cuba. It’s my work 😔😔

@VusiThembekwayo Such a compelling read. It’s a relief to see these issues articulated so well; I've struggled to express them myself, so finding this felt very soothing.

I'm old enough to remember a time when all Hollywood movies portrayed U.S. soldiers as true heroes, & we believed it without thought or doubt. You know, like Rambo heading into the jungle to fight the “bad guys”, or the stories we watched about Chuck Norris killing the savage locals in some foreign land. Our entire generation's “action heroes” narrative was bought and paid for by the reduction of the stories of the indigenous peoples of those countries. Some of us reading this post dont even know the names of designations of the armies in our own countries, but we know SEAL Team Six, Spec Ops, Gunner or Frogman. All those action heroes who fought in Vietnam, Libya, Iraq, Somalia or some other far-off land as if the people of those countries didn't have a story. As if the natives of those lands didn't have a history, a heritage or a perspective of their experiences. In that Hollywood-centric lens, the USA portrayed itself as the protector of the whole world and the saviour of humanity. Even claiming the word 'America' as if it doesn't include two entire continents with 35 individual countries. Every other country's story is reduced to the USA perspective. Mexico = Drugs & Gangs. Colombia = Pablo Escobar. Brazil = Carnival. Canada = Not America. America told the story. America wrote the script. America cast the actors. America chose the heroes. As for Muslim from the Middle East? Well, a well crafted charicuture had been propagandised for years now. Movies made it seem like Islamic men were just terrorists who would randomly kill people, blow up buildings, without a backstory, a causal reason or explanation. Judge whether the explanation was sufficient separately, but at least take care to have one in the backstory. No, nothing. Just savages in suicide vests. We watched films like 13 Hours, where American Marines are the heroes, fighting off these “savages” for 13 hours until reinforcements arrive. We wholesale consumed that perspective. But honestly, over the past couple of years, if you think about it carefully, you might start questioning that story. You’d have to ask: why were those Marines even in Benghazi in the first place? Why did they need help? And in other movies like The Hurt Locker or Warfare, the question has become: why was the U.S. army even in those countries? Then there's that scene in The Three Kings, where George Clooney and Ice Cube find gold in another man’s land and take it for themselves. You have to be asking yourself: have you been told THE FULL story? All the facts? Or just the convenient perspective. As things unfold with Iran, and we watch how the people of Iran experience this time in their country, it’s clear that who tells the story is as important as the story itself. I can't speak to the moral standing of the Iranian government, but I am asking the questions, Who gets to tell the story? Who are the real heroes? Who are the aggressors? Whose experiences, losses, and suffering will be placed at the centre of the story as it unfolds? Suddenly, we see.

Your favorite artist has been practicing rituals in a satanic cult where they take babies from other countries & mutilate & kill them as a form of a blood sacrifice to their God. You see, when your master is satan, you must constantly shed blood. However, the JIG IS UP.

J. Cole was NOT shooting at Drake. The rap literacy is LOW on that corner of the internet PRIMARILY due to the media mascots y’all listen to. DJ HED & Gina Views thought Cole was announcing a Divorce in Disc 2 Track 2 & this is where y’all get your insight from!?? The FALL Off 2•6•26

SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT and WORLD CUP UPDATE 🚨 Proteas Men’s batters Tony de Zorzi and Donovan Ferreira have been ruled out of the upcoming three-match KFC T20 International (T20I) series against West Indies and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka due to injury.   De Zorzi has not progressed as expected in his rehabilitation from a right hamstring muscle tear sustained during the One-Day International series against India last month and will not be fit in time for the upcoming T20I series. Due to his unavailability for the series and the need for continued rehabilitation, he will miss the T20 World Cup.   Ferreira, meanwhile, sustained a fracture of his left clavicle during the Betway SA20 encounter between Joburg Super Kings and Pretoria Capitals at DP World Wanderers Stadium on Saturday, 17 January.   Ryan Rickelton and Tristan Stubbs have been named as their replacements in the 15-player squad.   David Miller suffered an adductor muscle injury on Monday while playing for Paarl Royals and will play no part in the T20I series. His availability for the T20 World Cup remains subject to the outcome of a fitness test ahead of the support period.   Rubin Hermann has been added to the squad for the T20I series against West Indies in place of Miller. #Unbreakable
