Being a critical thinker is about more than challenging other people's assumptions. It also requires you to rethink your own views.
The top 22 ideas about life, work, and well-being that you enjoyed rethinking with me in 2022...
Back to our first in person @dbresults#speedathon since the pandemic! Such a fun way to think of problems to solve, ideate and build a fully functioning app in less than 3 hours using @OutSystems#lowcode technology. Amazing work to all the teams 👏🏽 see you tomorrow Sydney!
Nicole Liu from @KinFertility provided great insights into how she started the #HealthTech platform and making sure you keep promises which will result in trust for your product / service.
#DHS2022 Day 2 panel discussed #trust and #healthcare, Karen Hay mentioned the ‘circular flywheel of trust’ and the importance of getting things right from the beginning of a service to ensure a positive experience is received.
@benbravery mentioned the importance of listening/learning from patients. You can have the most modern & automated technology but if it de-humanises the experience for the patient, then is it really solving the problem? This resonated with me - highlighting the importance of #HCD
Really enjoyed hearing from @benbravery who shared his experience surviving stage 3 colorectal cancer. From his lived experience he identified varying degrees of hi and low tech touch points throughout the #healthcare process, and the pain points in the system. #DHS2022
From this he discovered how the #healthcare industry could be improved for both patents and doctors. This prompted his career change from zoologist to medical doctor. @benbravery#DHS2022
#Accessibility & #inclusiveDesign were at the forefront of this work. During the user research we learnt more about the overlapping needs of the intended user base including Participants, carers and families. This was super important to ensure the functionality met their needs.
In a blended team, we delivered the app with core integrations in less than 3 months using low-code tech @OutSystems. Being able to develop so quickly allowed that app back into the hands of the intended users to test, validate & iterate/improve the product before public release.
I enjoyed presenting at the ‘Consumer-centric designs’ session at #DHS2022 sharing the importance of the user research design phase, how to go about doing it & the value of qualitative & quantitate information. Further, how @dbresults#digital delivered the my NDIS app. #HCD
