Only 5.4 mm of rain fell during the thaw in #GanderWest, so it was mainly warm temps, humidity, and wind that did a number on the snowpack. Now averaging 44 cm depth as refreeze begins (equating to roughly half of the 90 cm that was on ground just after Sunday’s snowfall). #nlwx

Abnormally windy in western Labrador. 💨 Wabush #YWK gust 101 km/h at 3pm makes for strongest wind (and first 100+ km/h value) since Oct 5, 2002! Also, high 7.6°C today marks warmest since Oct 30, 2025. Cooldown already underway, however; temp back to 2.2°C at 3 pm. #nlwx

A solid helping of fresh powder to start the day: measuring 20 cm through 9am in #GanderWest (16.5 mm water equivalent). That bumps the season-to-date snowfall past the 500 cm mark, now sitting at 514 cm since October. ❄️ #nlwx

@PaulASAP most of that number would've been from yesterday's component, definitely much more solid form today (not included in that total)

@rcbstormpost Much of that 'rainfall' total in Stephenville felt much like snow. Got even more snow afterward. Still a little more blowing around.
