Complaining just signals that you haven't fully transitioned out of childhood yet. When you're quietly taking care of business, people will tend to assume that there's nothing wrong You could be the reason food gets put on the table. Money gets put into pockets. Why things are going as smoothly as they are. You drop the ball and everyone feels it in some way But as long as you do it with a smile, it won't ever be perceived to be as big of a deal as you may see in your own head. Some of your efforts may be acknowledged, but nobody will ever know exactly how heavy the load actually is This is the core marker of growing up. Have to be cool with being misunderstood. Not keeping score. Eating those petty remarks towards others when you're exhausted The concept of childhood isn't actually quantified by age. Transitioning out of it simply comes the second you become comfortable with accepting that tradeoff
