DAO governance forums have 3 levels of gatekeeping.
From most to least
1/ Zuzalu is most sophisticated with 3 levels of access
- those who haven't attended any popup city are completely excluded
- those who attended a ZuVillage are second class citizens with viewing rights to some parts of the forum
- those who were at Zuzalu Montenegro or Istanbul are first class citizens with full access
2/ @apecoin gov forum is open to anyone in web3
All they need to do is get $APE in their wallet, which provides the right to leave a comment
3/ @arbitrum DAO is open to anyone on the internet, with only an email required to sign up
Their open structure requires heavy handed moderation, since spammers & sales folks post on the forum hawking their wares
