@arpitrage Many have them, but the line of what’s approved versus not, will be too hard to manage. And bigger institutions would be flooded.

Proposal: there should be a University-wide office whose job it is to manage student absences. If you have a good reason for being absent, you talk to them; and they inform the relevant faculty (passively through some dashboard) what students have good reasons to be gone.

One year ago today Charlie had a Campus tour stop at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. When he found out there were thousands of people waiting but no more seats left, he went outside and took a photo with every person who couldn’t get in. Charlie was an amazing man.

@brav0charlie @mcuban Except that the people telling them this are the people paying the bills, lol. If someone is paying the bills, that's called your boss. IU is essentially the publisher. So, good lesson here for the kids, if the publisher tells you to do a special edition, you do it.

Not happy. Censorship isn’t the way. I gave money to IU general fund for the IDS last year, so they could pay everyone and not run a deficit. I gave more than they asked for. I told them I’m happy to help because the IDS is important to kids at IU
