Adam Smith. He wrote The Wealth of Nations in 1776. He invented economics. David Hume. He asked the question nobody had dared ask. How do we actually know anything? His answer changed philosophy forever. James Watt. Walking across Glasgow Green, the idea came to him. A separate condenser. It made the steam engine practical. And started the Industrial Revolution. Joseph Black. He discovered latent heat. The principle that made refrigeration, steam power and thermodynamics possible. James Hutton. He looked at the rocks at Siccar Point. And understood the earth was unimaginably old. He invented geology. These men knew each other. They argued in the same taverns. Walked the same streets. In one generation, one small country invented economics, philosophy, geology, thermodynamics and the steam engine. The modern world runs on what they built. 🇬🇧 This is your history. Help us keep it alive. 👇 Be Part Of Us 👉 proudofus.co.uk/support 🙏 Be Proud Of Us. 🇬🇧

Can we PLEASE for the LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY just STOP IT with the password complexity criteria already? We all know the highest risk is that the service itself leaks the password in a security breach, and then what use is the complexity?

Rwandan migrant Emmanuel Abayisenga had his asylum application to France rejected multiple times since submitting it in 2012. Despite orders for deportation, he remained in the country illegally. The priests trusted him with the cathedral keys, putting him in charge of locking up and caretaking. After he set the building on fire, destroying the organ and organ loft, Father Maire took him in, offering him shelter in his own home while awaiting trial. He then murdered Father Maire. Europe in a nutshell.

@mochara57 @HousebotGuy They get raped then sold for parts organ by organ while the woman was still alive. This is a step up from late term abortion and a liberal’s wet dream. They list at injustice and literal horror so much they’d do anything to defend it

European Govs. are deliberately fueling a toxic rape culture. Women & girls now walk into what were on safe once areas are SA & then get completely abandoned, while the system bends over backwards to shield the perps. The courts are complicit, rapists walk free or face laughable punishments. This isn't incompetence it’s a straight-up betrayal & oppression of women. Political correctness, open borders, and woke safeguards are more important to them than women's safety, dignity, or basic human rights. What just happened in Spain in the heart of the EU is pure evil.

Hello Senator Thune, At 3 AM on Friday, March 27th, in a near-empty chamber, you passed a bill by voice vote that excludes all funding for ICE and CBP. Let me repeat that: voice vote. No roll call. No record of who was there. No accountability. Just you, Barrasso, and a handful of senators shuffling paper in the dead of night while America slept. You could have demanded a recorded vote. You chose not to. You could have held the line for five more days until the House returned. You chose not to. You could have used the same procedural tools Democrats have used against you for 40 days. You chose not to. Instead, you gave Chuck Schumer exactly what he asked for, DHS funding minus immigration enforcement, and called it a win. Then you walked to the cameras and blamed the Democrats. Let's be precise about what you did: 1. You caved to a demand Democrats made on Day 1 of this shutdown. Forty-one days of supposed hardball negotiation, and you settled for their opening offer. 2. You handed them a template. The next time Democrats want to defund any agency — ICE, CBP, or anything else — they now know: just shut down DHS and wait. John Thune will fold at 3 AM. 3. You punted to reconciliation. "Good possibility," you said. Not "we will." Not "guaranteed." Just maybe. Meanwhile, ICE operates on fumes from last year's bill with no certainty of future funding. The precedent you set: You have argued for months that the filibuster is sacrosanct. That the 60-vote threshold protects minority rights. That we cannot bend Senate rules for policy wins. But at 3 AM on Friday, you bent every norm that actually mattered: • Voice vote to avoid accountability • Empty chamber to avoid debate • Midnight deal to avoid scrutiny • Immediate recess to avoid questions You'll bend the rules to avoid a fight. You just won't bend them to win one. What you've actually accomplished: Democrats demanded ICE restrictions. They got ICE defunded. Not reformed. Not restrained. Defunded. And you're out here tweeting about how Democrats are the "Defund the Police" party while you just voted to defund border enforcement at 3 in the morning. The question you should answer: Why did this deal have to happen at 3 AM? Why couldn't it happen at 3 PM, with cameras rolling and every senator on record? You know why. Because you didn't want your voters to see what surrender looks like. Here's my message: We saw it anyway. Stop hiding behind "Democrat obstruction." You're the Majority Leader. You set the schedule. You control the floor. You chose this outcome. Own it.

It is easy to see corporations don’t ultimately pay taxes and can easily transfer technology, employ globally and will always follow the place is least contribution to society, naturally. Therefore, one needs to understand the next generations of Americans as the most utterly bankrupt, indentured pariah people the world has never seen. If one were to add how much of this debt will rest with people, vs shareholder class or foreigners or indirectly to these groups thru funds, “foundations”, ngos or trusts, the reality is that dollar won’t collapse, what will collapse will be the ones that could not diversify early enough, and make enough to pull their descendants away from the incoming gravest inversion of the century

$39 trillion in US govt debt. New and rolled over refinanced debt is being priced at 5%. If it was all at 5%, that would be $1.95 trillion per year, nearly 40% of all government revenue. Currently interest on the debt is about $1.2 trillion per year. Over time, that debt gets refinanced at these new higher rates. You can see where this is going. $5 trillion in govt revenue per year and $2 trillion of it going to interest payments on the $39 trillion debt.

There’s no requirement that there is a shortage of US workers for H-1B. Instead, you have to show that the job is a “speciality occupation”- basically a profession that requires a college degree, the applicant has such a degree and that the employer is paying the prevailing wage or higher.

Wait a second you little Spanish rapist apologist marxist scum… Each of these three points sounds reasonable on the surface, but all three fall apart when you check them against the actual data. “It’s just expanded definitions” This would be a great explanation if the only data we had were police-recorded crime. But we don’t. Multiple European countries run independent victimization surveys that ask the same standardized questions year after year, regardless of how the law defines anything. And those surveys show real increases too. England’s Crime Survey (CSEW) — which hasn’t changed its definition since 2003 — shows self-reported sexual assault rising from 1.7% in 2015 to 2.4% by 2025. Sweden’s national crime survey (NTU) showed self-reported sexual crime victimization climbing from around 1% (stable from 2005–2012) to 6.4% by 2017 — a year before Sweden’s consent law even existed. These are anonymous surveys of regular people about what happened to them. No police, no legal definitions, no reclassification. On top of that, Eurostat data shows that both rape and sexual assault rose together across the EU from 2008 to 2023. If broader definitions were simply relabeling sexual assault as rape, you’d see one go up and the other go down. That didn’t happen. Both categories climbed in parallel, which is the opposite of a reclassification pattern. So the definition argument explains some discrete step-ups at the exact dates laws changed — Sweden’s 2018 reform clearly added a new category of cases — but it cannot explain the broader multi-year trend that was already underway before those reforms, and that shows up even in definition-independent survey data. “It’s just demographics — compare like for like and the gap disappears” This has been tested. Repeatedly. By the countries with the best data in the world. And the gap does not disappear. Denmark’s Statistics Denmark publishes an official “standardised index of criminality” that adjusts for age and socioeconomic composition. After that adjustment, the crime rate for non-Western male migrants was still two and a half times the Danish male average. Not “similar.” Not “turned the other way.” Two and a half times. A 2025 Lund University study went even further with 21 years of Swedish register data (2000–2021), adjusting for age, socioeconomic status, substance use disorders, psychiatric disorders, and prior criminal behavior. After all of that, the odds of rape conviction for foreign-born individuals remained significantly elevated. The overrepresentation shrank with each adjustment — which means socioeconomic factors do matter — but it did not vanish. Danish research also shows the overrepresentation varies enormously by country of origin. Immigrants from Western countries showed no significant difference from Danes, while non-Western immigrants and their descendants were significantly overrepresented, particularly from Middle Eastern countries. If this were purely an age-and-gender artifact, it would be uniform across all immigrant groups. It isn’t. “The nationality stats are literally made up” This is just incorrect. Several European countries publish detailed official statistics broken down by offender origin: Denmark’s Statistics Denmark breaks convictions by origin (immigrant, descendant, Danish-born), by Western vs. non-Western country, by offence type including sexual offences, and since 2021 also by socioeconomic status and education. The Danish Ministry of Justice recently reported that non-Western immigrants and descendants — 10.6% of the population — account for 32.4% of rape convictions. Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) publishes annual data on immigrant suspects in sexual offence cases. Sweden’s national registers have been used in multiple peer-reviewed studies linking convictions to country of birth through population-wide data. Norway and Finland both track offender backgrounds in their police and court records.

The statistics you're talking about tend to fall into three categories. The first type note overall increases in reported sexual assaults, coinciding with an increase in migration, but doesn't acknolwedge that around MeToo etc many many European countries expanded definitions of sexual assault. So you have more people reporting incidents that would not have previously been considered criminal. The second type show that crime rates are higher among immigrants than native-born Europeans. But think for a second: the crossings tend to be so difficult (because of immigration restrictions) that it's virtually almost all young men. If you're comparing migrant men aged 16-25 to, say, Dutch men AND women aged 0 to 90, yes, of course, the statistics will skew toward painting the migrants as unique threats because of their countries of origin. Young men of ALL cultures perform the bulk of crimes—I am willing to bet that if you compared crime rates by age and gender, the disparity would shrink or even turn the other way. And the third types of stats circulated are literally made up: for example, there are charts that show crime rates based on nationality of perpetrator, but most European countries don't track whether a migrant accused of a crime is from Eritra or Iraq. To me this does does not add up to, "Let's start a crusade because Arab Islamic rapists are defiling our women en masse" The symbolism of penetration/invasion is really embarrassing in its obviousness.
