why can’t people just admit that AI will get better than us? why complain and try to come up with so many reasons why it won’t happen? why no one complains about computers being better at counting numbers then? why not just be excited that something like AI could make our lives better?

@iScienceLuvr people just believe everything they see on the twitter if 3 random people say codex is better than claude code - they instantly go change their subscription to the codex insanity

i'm tired of the takes on twitter: >openai sucks >wait now anthropic sucks >wait openai sucks again ad nauseam... can we just agree that both are extremely good companies shipping at an incredible rate? or is that not extreme enough for twitter?

AI will take some jobs, but it will create countless new jobs too—exciting jobs we can’t even imagine yet. A year later those will also be done by AI, but there will be new jobs—exciting jobs we can’t even imagine yet. Six months later those too will be done by AI, but

Some fields work in theory but not in practice. Some fields work in practice but not theory. The uniqueness of economics is that it works in neither theory nor practice.

@real_akireev @DaveWhapham @omgsidewalks That’s called an anecdote and it’s totally true to you, you can’t put that on everyone else. For me personally a hybrid model works. For certain tasks in person works way better and other tasks just being able to focus 100% works best.

We actually had an incredible opportunity to make remote work the global standard, and we blew it. What really happened? Why did so many companies go back to the office?

@real_akireev @DaveWhapham @omgsidewalks Says you. Im more productive when I dont have people walking around gossiping. Seems as those who don't want to work from home are the ones that are the people that aren't going to work in the office either.

@real_akireev @omgsidewalks I sleep in my bedroom. I work in my home office. I eat in my kitchen. I live in a house not a studio apartment. I also live in the beautiful country, sometimes I work on my porch, sometimes I work by the pool, sometimes I work out in the garage (if I am waiting for a delivery).

@dodgestang @omgsidewalks if you work, rest, eat, sleep in one place - don't you feel that you can't understand when to rest and when to work?

@real_akireev @omgsidewalks We'll have to disagree on that. I have almost 20yrs experience working remote. I get way more done in my home office than onsite.
