The first time she ever had sex she got pregnant at 13. The baby's father passed away in a car accident. Her second male partner also passed away. Then she swears off men for a little bit (takes a break). She comes back—third male partner; and once again, pregnant on the first time. And now it's twins.....

We’ve normalized burnout so much that having a life outside work feels radical.

A hiring manager once asked me, "Why are you interested in this position?" I said, "To be completely honest, I wasn't at first. I accidentally applied for it at 1 AM while mass-submitting applications." He laughed. I continued:

You spend 10 minutes studying the menu like it’s an exam… then still order the same thing you always do 😭 Why are we like this?

I ate the worst barbecue fish yesterday 😭 Quite expensive, tasted awkward, and the garbage was chopped so tiny I was wondering if there was an onion shortage in the country 😂 I genuinely felt scammed. This guy has successfully ruined BBQ for me until I can find it in my heart to forgive him 😭 What's the most disappointing food you've ever paid good money for? 👇

A few years ago, my uncle helped me buy a small piece of land. I didn’t have enough money at the time, so he loaned me the difference. We agreed on a repayment plan and shook hands on it. Over the next couple of years, I paid him back little by little. Every payment was documented and very receipt was kept safely. Eventually, the loan was completely cleared. There was no outstanding balance. As far as I was concerned, the matter was finished. 1/

@Read_Meee Why do people always expect their favours to be granted just because they asked? You asked for a seat swap expecting that the person must agree? Lol

I was working a late shift at a small pharmacy when a young mother came in holding a prescription and a crying toddler on her hip. She looked exhausted, like she hadn’t slept properly in days. The pharmacist checked the prescription and quietly told her there was an issue with the insurance and she’d have to pay out of pocket. The amount was more than she expected. Her face..............

@GOLDBABYO @Read_Meee I don’t think you should call it off because of that. It can be hurtful yes but I understand where they’re coming from. You need to show them that you’re angry with what they did but forgive them

About four years ago, my uncle hired a young man to work in his warehouse. The guy was quiet, showed up on time, and mostly kept to himself. If you asked anyone about him, they’d probably describe him as one of the least noticeable employees there. One Friday afternoon, payroll made a mistake. Instead of receiving his normal paycheck, he was accidentally paid X10. Nobody noticed the error at the time because several payments were being processed at once. The following Monday, the accounting team discovered what had happened. 1/

My sister called me at 11pm saying she needed somewhere to stay. Her husband had put her out. I said come. Obviously. She arrived with two bags and a story that made me want to drive to his house myself. Three days passed. Then a week. Then two. By week three, my boyfriend sat me down. "I love your sister. But she reorganised my kitchen, finished my whiskey, and told me I fold towels wrong." I laughed. He didn't. By week four, she'd started cooking dinner every night. The house smelled amazing. My boyfriend started coming home earlier... Week five, I noticed they had inside jokes I wasn't part of. I told myself I was being paranoid. Week six, I came home early from work and heard them laughing in the kitchen. The kind of laughing that stops the moment you walk in. I stood at the door for a full minute before I went inside. Nothing happened. Nothing I could point to. But I asked her to leave the next day. She cried. Said I was abandoning her when she needed me most. My mother called me wicked. My aunties said I had no heart. I packed her bags myself. My boyfriend proposed three months later. My sister didn't come to the wedding. She still tells people I chose a man over family. Maybe I did. But that kitchen had a different energy and I wasn't going to wait to find out why.

My husband have some contractors coming today to demolish our back porch. First step before constructing a new deck. They just sent him a message few minutes ago saying they are here and beginning the demolition work. They are not. There is nobody here. I wonder whose porch they are destroying right now?

The best $16 I have spent as a toddler mom was on a 1.5lb bag of gemstones- like the ones you get at those gemstone mining stands. I sprinkle them about our garden bed and my 3 year old will spend HOURS rock hunting. We got her a fanny pack for collecting them, but she doesn’t keep track of them so I just keep putting them back out and she re-finds them over and over again. What I didn’t anticipate was that she would create an entire lore around these rocks.

My boyfriend and I have a rule: we never go to bed angry. Last night, breaking it is what finally fixed our biggest argument. It started at 8 PM over something ridiculous—whose turn it was to deep clean the apartment. By midnight, we weren’t even arguing about that anymore. We were dragging up old fights from two years ago just to win the current one. It had turned into one of those fights where nobody is listening anymore, just waiting to respond. Usually, we’d force ourselves to stay awake until 3 AM just to “fix it properly.” But last night, he stopped mid-argument, looked at me, and said: “We’re too tired to love each other properly right now. Let’s just sleep.” So we did. Opposite sides of the bed. No resolution. No apology. Just silence. At 7 AM, everything felt different. The anger was gone. The problem was small again. The logic was back. We made coffee and solved it in five minutes. Turns out, sometimes the healthiest thing you can do for a relationship… is stop trying to fix it while you’re both falling apart.

AM I OVERREACTING for calling off my engagement after my fiancé admitted his family secretly tested me to see if i was a gold digger? I 25F have been with my fiancé 28 M for almost 5 years. He has a really well paying job in tech and I make pretty average money. We’ve always split things fair and I’ve never asked him for expensive stuff or trips or anything. I honestly thought money was a non issue for us. I never was interested in him for his money anyways. We genuinely clicked so well and I loved his personality. We are into the same nerdy things and his family seemed to really like me. I never thought I would have to worry about our relationship going south until now a few days ago my fiancé sat me down and said he had something he wanted to tell me and he was smiling like it was good news. He basically told me that his family has been secretly “testing” me for the last 11 months to make sure I wasn’t a gold digger.
