Definitely. We should also pass up on great meals and just inject protein into our stomachs, and instead of seeing a movie we should have strangers passing by briskly scream the plot points in our faces.

Totally agree with @dicktofel. Starting long news stories with an anecdotal lead needs to end. Everyone is busy and has shorter attention spans. Writers shouldn't need to tell a person's story to convey an issue's importance. It buries the substance. open.substack.com/pub/dicktofel/…

@thejoeywright I wasn’t aware of the previous iterations, but I started to figure it out as it went along. The interweaving of old and new footage is so impressive, it played like some crazy Linklater experiment where they had it all planned for a decade.

What’s going to be crazy is when I submit my Best of 2026 Movies list and Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie is in my top ten.
What an incredibly funny and inventive comedy.

@aHeartOfGould @FilmsRadiance The performance-art piece late in the movie was so convincing I genuinely couldn’t tell if the audience within the movie had any idea what was going on or if they were improvising their reactions to an essentially real theater piece. It’s so good.
