@ToonMouthTyne Eddie is doing fine, injuries and extra games this year have hurt. No one could do a better job with the injury list.

✍️ Finding our best ever Premier League squad continues! So far we have: 🧤 Goalkeeper - Shay GIVEN 🇮🇪 ⚽️ Right Back - Kieran TRIPPIER 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ⚽️ Centre Back - Philippe ALBERT 🇧🇪 ⚽️ Centre Back - Fabian SCHÄR 🇨🇭 ⚽️ Left Back - John BERESFORD 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ⚽️ Holding Midfielder - Cheick TIOTE 🇨🇮 ⚽️ Central Midfielder 🤔 ⚽️ Central Midfielder 🤔 ⚽️ Attacking Midfielder 🔜 ⚽️ Striker 🔜 ⚽️ Striker 🔜 Subs Bench: 💺Manager 🔜 💺🔜 💺Nikos DABIZAS 🇬🇷 💺Olivier BERNARD 🇫🇷 💺🔜 💺🔜 💺🔜 💺🔜 The vote continues as we look for Newcastle's best ever Premier League team. Next we need to find our two central midfielders from these contenders. If your favourite isn't there get ready for the next post with even more attacking wonders and exciting winger options! Let us know your favourite TWO out of these and be nice in the comments as everyone will have different opinions! Popular runners up will go on the bench! After chosing the late, great Cheick Tioté as cover for the back 4 now is probably the hardest vote yet as we have been blessed with many great central midfielders over the years. Choose 2 (TWO) of the following to have as central midfielders. As Cabaye and Bruno can both play DM and CM, they are also included in this vote. If you think it was hard picking a DM… think again! 😊 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Robert Lee: 381 Appearances, 56 Goals, 51 Assists, 45 Yellows and 1 Red card, 32472min played. Honors: 92/93 Championship. Signed by Keegan from Charlton in Sept 92 for £700k, sold to Derby for £250k in February 2002 by Bobby Robson. Although Keegan was his boyhood hero, it apparently took a lie to convince Lee to join the club rather than Boro’ with KK claiming Newcastle was closer to London. One of the best signings of the Keegan era, Lee was the complete midfielder, capable of great passes both long and short, a fantastic engine that saw him play well into his late 30ies and a keen eye for goal. Lee became a full time international during his time at the club and became club captain for the 97/98 season. His stats would have been slightly better had he not been frozen out along with other senior players during Gullits tenure. A true club legend! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Gary Speed: 285 Appearances, 39 Goals, 21 Assists, 42 Yellows and 1 Red card, 24667min played. Honors: None. Signed by Dalglish in Feb 98 from Everton for £5.5M, Sold for £750k in July 2004 to Bolton by Sir Bobby. Already a league title winner with Leeds, Speed arrived to bolster our midfield and bring stability to a season of disappointment. A truly gifted footballer, Gary could play in CM or on the left of midfield. His trademark runs to the near post at corner always carried a threat and he had a thunderous left boot! An amazing professional, he always left all of it on the pitch and was rarely injured. Sadly, the club was never able to get close to replicating what Leeds had done and bring a trophy. Awarded an MBE in 2010, Speed tragically died in November 2011, may he RIP 🖤🤍 🇧🇷 Bruno Guimarães: 81 Appearances, 11 Goals, 9 Assists, 19 Yellows and 1 Red Card, 6269min played. Honors: none. Signed by Howe in Jan 2022 for £35M, many thought only money attracted Bruno to the club “to play in the championship”. But it’s clear that Bruno saw the project that Howe and the PIF want to build at the club and wanted to be part of it. That in itself says a lot about the player, someone who WANTS to be at the club is always welcome and his performances since his arrival have been brilliant, even more so this season where the arrival of Tonali and the emergence of young talent has forced Bruno to find another level to his game. His vision and passing are fantastic to watch from the sidelines, his partnership with Big Joe is like watching brothers and his link play between Trippier and Almiron makes the team a real threat going forward. At only 26 and just about to hit his peak, we can hope the £100M clause is enough to deter the “elite” clubs away from him and that we can enjoy many more seasons of his quality. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Jermaine Jenas: 152 Appearances, 12 Goals, 16 Assists, 12 Yellow and 1 Red card, 11533 minutes played. Honors: none. Signed by Sir Bobby in Jan 2002 from Forest for £5M, sold to Spurs for £7M in Aug 2005 by Souness. At 19 yo, the wonderkid from Nottingham had many fans excited as Robson created a team with a mix of experience and raw talent. Settled in quickly and even won the PFA Young player of the season for 02-03. The next season saw Jermaine captain the side for a few games in the absence of more senior players. Despite some great goals and bright future, a mix of injuries and the sacking of Sir Bobby meant that Jenas ended up at Spurs. Quote “Newcastle is like living in a goldfish bowl” still had no meaning to yours truly, but the fact Souness was involved (again) says it all. Now Jenas can be found doing punditry work as well as presenting BBC’s the one show. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Sean Longstaff: 157 Appearances (+46 for the U21), 11 (+9) Goals, 10 (+9) Assists, 16 (+2) Yellow and 1 Red card, 11095 (+3695)min played. Honors: none. A product of the youth academy, Longstaff joined the first team squad for the 16-17 season in tier 2, but wasn’t involved as he was sent on loan to Kilmarnock, then Blackpool the next season where he did well playing 42 games for the League 1 club. Since then the story is very much the same until the change of ownership 2 years ago, a history of frustration and survival. Although Man U did consider a £50M bid for him at one point, fans are glad the North Shields native stayed and is now a key member of Howe’s squad and often first name on the team sheet for most in pub discussions. Staying while others jumped ship, big credit is due to this lad for wanting to prove himself. The arrival of the PIF, Howe and players like Bruno have all helped. At just 26 he could be part of this club for another 10 years and hopefully oversee success and trophies. 🇫🇷 Yohan Cabaye: 93 Appearances, 18 Goals, 14 Assists, 24 Yellow Cards, 7503min played. Honors: None. Signed by Pardew in Jun 2011 for around £5M from Lille, sold to PSG in Jan 2014 for £18M by the same manager (or Ashely decided for him…). After winning league and cup titles in France, Yohan joined the club the season after our “absence” from the PL. Gifted passer of the ball and excellent dead-ball specialist, Cabaye provided the creativity in midfield that we desperately needed at the time. Settled in quickly due to a few French speakers joining during the same window. During his stay at the club, it was very much “if Cabaye has a good game, the team gets a result”. Made captain on more than one occasion, it was therefore sad to see him down tools to try and force a move to Arsenal at the start of the 13/14 season. However, after that failed, he re-joined the squad only to depart to PSG that winter. Cannot be blamed for wanting more from his professional career, another talent sacrificed for financial gain from the previous ownership. 🇧🇷 Joelinton: 177 Appearances, 25 Goals, 14 Assists and 38 Yellow cards, 13007min played. Honors: none. Signed by Bruce for £40M in Aug 2019. As fans we were bewildered that Ashley had spent some money, let alone £40M but also concerned at this “striker” who wasn’t exactly prolific and according to Bruno and Joe, not exactly a striker either. Joelinton endured a terrible start to his Newcastle career, scoring twice in 38 games in his first season. Many of us would groan when we saw his name on the team sheet, and I will admit myself to have shouted abuse at how rubbish he was. But he wasn’t rubbish, Bruce was, and we saw a totally different player when Howe recognised that Big Joe would do a much better job in midfield/engine room. Today he’s one of the fans’ favourite players, has a song named after him and has a good few year left ahead of him at the club. I will give special praise to his strength of character, especially at the age of 23/24, to dig deep and keep training, not running away with a transfer, all while fans hated him. Now, with the right manager, he’s a Brazil international. What a transformation! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 James Milner: 136 Appearances, 11 Goals, 19 Assists, 9 Yellow cards, 9289min. Honors: none. Signed by Robson in July 2004 for £5M, Loaned to Villa in 2005 by Souness then sold to Villa by reportedly Keegan for £12M in August 2008. After Leeds fall from grace, NUFC were part of a few clubs that could afford to pick the best talent and thus an 18yo Milner came to our shores. A utility players, James was happy to play anywhere on the pitch, as shown by his great career, and started the 04/05 season on the left of midfield but played LB, CM, LM, RM, AM, LW and CF for the club and apart from the last 3, all were in equal measure but included in the CM vote due to him spending most of his career there in subsequent clubs. After Robson, whom Milner considered his mentor, got sacked 2 months after his arrival it looked clear that Milner was unsettled, hence his loan and subsequent sale to Aston villa. Milner has won everything at club level and at only 36 is still going strong in the PL for Brighton, another one that got away. With currently 873 appearances at club level, had he stayed no doubt he would be a club legend. Special mentions go to Jonjo Shelvey, Scott Parker, Joey Barton (who would have been included had he not been a massive donkey on social media recently) and Didi Hamann had he stayed at the club longer than one season! We will be back with our the choices for our attacking midfielder/winger soon! #NUFC #NUFCFans #Newcastle @pat_furious for Magpie 24/7

I need venues in some city’s for the size xx (20) shows! Where should we go? Some intimate, sweaty and tights rooms, some bigger warehouses, I’ll do a few festivals for fun and maybe get some outdoors spaces! We have a few lined up but I feel like we can do more!

If anyone needed any persuasion as to why Eddie Howe is the man to take us forward today proved it. Hopeless first half, he changed it and we deservedly won the game through his subs. He’s the fucking gaffer and knows what he’s doing. Up the fucking mags #nufc
