Lest we forget, our brother hasn’t gotten justice yet. We must keep his name and face on the TL untill justice prevails . #JusticeforSydney

The Bagisu community in Entebbe has held a special moment to pay tribute to fallen rugby player, Sydney Gongodyo, who was killed by a mob. The community gathered to celebrate the legacy the player built through his talent. #NTVNews 📹@KamanaIvan

@realgift03 Probably after further interrogation and screening by police, they were found unconnected to the mob attack, unlike the four, who may have actively participated.

🚨A CLARIFICATION ON THE ONGOING IDENTIFICATION: The bike registration comes back to Richard Ssebude, but it's very common in Kampala for riders to use motorcycles registered in someone else's name. So the registered owner is not necessarily the person who was riding it that day. This information is actually helpful either way, if we locate him, he'll be able to tell us exactly who was driving the bike and his whereabouts. Whether his real name is Tamale Isma or Richard Ssebude, the face in the video is clear. He needs to face justice. #JusticeForSydney ‼️

@BushenyiBouy @realgift03 @AtukundaArnold That kind of mindset of "thieves deserve death" is what got an innocent man killed. Anyone can be wrongly accused of being a thief, and even if they are, they deserve due process and punishment proportionate to the crime ..not execution by a crowd

Exactly people speak about law when it is someone known in such a situation, how many people have been killed by the mob and none been arrested even after evidence been played down?? These thieves do things worse than anyone , weeks ago I didn't have my car and the boda guy I picked was a thief who called other guys and they almost strangled me to death only for an iPhone 16pm and 300 dollars in my wallet, now imagine the anger I have in me what would I have done if I got one

Andrew Oulanyah (Omoro County) has called on Parliament to openly condemn mob justice following the killing of rugby player Sydney Gongondyo. He urged that the suspects be subjected to a public trial to deter similar acts. Speaker @ObothOboth described the incident as tragic, saying the loss of life in such circumstances is deeply regrettable. #PlenaryUg #VisionUpdates
