@drdebodun @DrOlusesan @OlurotimiHenry The thing is Peter Obi is marketed greatly. The marketers have studied their customers, observed their pain points, and positioned Peter Obi to be the solution. A lot of people believe government is run easily, they believe things would always work out as imagined. 1.

Kingsheba, you are a slave to your thoughts.

@Mahmoud_Damisi This is a very stupid question..There are great economic, industrial and world leaders who even have internal fracas and battles in their families.. They're so effective when it comes to leadership even though the enemy constantly divides their homes..

I'm genuinely asking. If a Politician lacks the tact to manage politicking within a party with less than a million stakeholders, how do you manage a cross-cultural and massive nation like Nigeria where partisanship is a functional requirement to influence net change and order?
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Yesterday’s announcement signals the next phase of Nigeria’s energy reforms. I am grateful to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR @NGRPresident, for the opportunity to serve and to help deliver measurable progress over the past three years — restoring credibility, unlocking investment, and repositioning the sector for growth. (See attached: 3-Year Review of Energy Sector Reforms.) I welcome Mr.@JosephOTegbe as Minister of Power, and Mr. Rilwan Lanre Babalola as Special Adviser on Power and Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Power Sector Reset. This is a decisive step to accelerate delivery in the electricity sector. On this Workers’ Day, I salute my team — whose discipline, resilience, and commitment have powered these outcomes over the past three years. The work continues. #WorkersDay #EnergyReform #RenewedHope

Once again, lack of knowledge is the issue. This chart is campaigning for Tinubu 😂 The chart shows that this admin is aggressively clearing Nigeria’s old debt. We are no longer on the IMF debtors list, up to $7 billion in valid foreign exchange backlog has been cleared

NNPC just completed a pipeline crossing under the River Niger and most Nigerians don’t understand how big this is. OB3 pipeline now unlocks 2 billion cubic feet of gas per day. Two billion. Every single day. That gas powers electricity, factories, industries. Nigeria has always had the gas. The problem was never supply it was moving it from where it’s produced to where it’s needed. This pipeline connects East to West. That bottleneck just got removed. They already did the AKK crossing last year. Now OB3. Two river Niger crossings back to back. The gas grid is actually coming together. The target is 12 billion cubic feet per day by 2030. Right now we’re nowhere close. But infrastructure like this is how you get there. No infrastructure no industrialization. Simple. This is the kind of news that should trend. Not because it’s exciting but because your light bill depends on it.

Before there was NELFUND, I normally come accross posts of students online begging people to crowdfund their school fees in order to still continue with their education. NELFUND came to change the game for some students and made them graduate from school in silence with zero humiliation or fear of discontinuation due to inadequate funding. Lecturers and School management complained about lack of funding too which led to decades of Higher Institution strikes, as a result, the Federal Government decided to raise the School tuition fee a bit to bridge this gap and never did we hear of strike again since then. But here we are again criticizingthe Government and students who are grateful to same NELFUND for helping them to graduate without hurdles or humiliation. I ask again, what exactly do these pessimist Nigerians wants??? Because I know definitely you won't complain about this same thing happening in your 'Saner Clime' Countries.

EXCLUSIVE: Troops Neutralise 24 Terrorists in Kukareta, Record Major Arms Recovery in Borno Foil Attack By: Zagazola Makama Troops of sector 2 Operation HADIN KAI have neutralised 24 terrorists while successfully repelling a coordinated attack on Kukareta community in Borno. Sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack, which commenced around midnight and lasted until about 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, was decisively contained following a fierce engagement with the insurgents. The troops were said to have inflicted heavy casualties on the attackers, neutralising no fewer than 24 during the encounter. Items recovered from the terrorists include 18 AK-47 rifles, three General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG), two PKT automatic anti-aircraft guns, three Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) tubes, two mortar tubes, four hand grenades and 18 AK-47 magazines. A large quantity of belted 7.62mm special ammunition used for PKT anti-aircraft weapons was also recovered. The sources disclosed that two soldiers sustained gunshot wounds in action and are currently receiving medical attention. The successful defence of Kukareta was described as a significant operational achievement, further demonstrating the effectiveness and resilience of troops in ongoing counter-insurgency operations across the North-East. @DHQNigeria @HQNigerianArmy
