Greetings WoW Classic Friends, I've had people reach out to me over the past several months asking why I've been so quiet on socials recently. As I've said in the past, this mostly means I'm just busy, but I think I'd like to explain a bit about what I've been busy with and how my position on the WoW Classic team has changed. As the team has grown and the complexity and number of projects (from SoD to MoP to Anniversary, etc.) of classic has increased, we've needed to look at how our team is structured. This includes making some moves for certain individuals to help them focus their attention where it is most needed. For my part, I've historically occupied an odd spot on the team, working directly with our dev team and WoW team leadership to help plan the things we want to do, helping steer the design direction of our various seasons and game versions, doing some actual design implementation, while also being responsible for large portions of game production for a variety of classic projects. This includes working with partner teams, removing roadblocks, and generally being a jack of all trades behind the scenes. However, for the past few years I have steadily shifted further and further towards game design and implementation as my primary focus. During Season of Discovery in particular I created a variety of content including a number of class rune discoveries, the Tarnished Undermine Real system, the Shadowy Figure questlines, several of the BWL epic weapon quests, and the Ashbringer legendary questline, to name just a few things I worked on. As a result, last year I officially changed roles from Game Production to Game Design. I've got my whole focus now dedicated to helping lead the long term vision for content and narrative on the classic team, while continuing to implement new content. So that's the biggest reason I've been so silent and will probably continue to be relatively quiet for the time being. It wouldn't be very appropriate for me to comment on projects like Anniversary and MoP Classic or answer questions about them due to my now-reduced involvement there. So that was a lot of words to say "I'm still here, I'm just really busy" but I felt it wouldn't hurt to explain a bit about what I've personally been up to. The team's growth is strictly a good thing, but we have been in an adjustment period. We are still finding our footing with some folks in new roles and new team members getting up to speed, but we are really starting to hit our stride and it's incredibly cool to be a part of. I'm really excited for you to see what other awesome stuff the team is working on in due time, but for now, I'm going to keep my head down and keep chugging along. @Zirene all the MoP class balance is for PvE only, right? If yes, this should definitely be in the patch notes. The only time it's mentioned at all is the original 5.5.0 development note post which is not pinned on the forums anymore

@Zirene @zuleCSGO @Zirene as one of the players that really enjoyed SoD. Was very sad to see it end so sudden after the bluepost. I tried MoP for 2 weeks but it just not my thing. Hope to see TBC soon, maybe Terrapin Wow until then. I just wish you guys were more public on what you are cooking.

@Zirene @embosslol Hi Zirene, just wondering if the classic team is paying attention to the classic streamers going to OSRS. What pulls them to that game and what it makes different compared to WoW classic. To me it seems that there is a desire for a more sandboxy game instead of seasonal like wow

Final PvP Update for Mists of Pandaria before the Arena Season starts. TL;DR: Because we have titles in all brackets now, we wanted to make adjustments we felt were appropriate for each of them, and not do a Blanket one size fits all for Base Resilience. - Base Resilience to 63%. - Base Resilience increases to 64% during 3v3 Matches. - Base Resilience increases to 65% during 5v5 Matches. - PvP Weapon Enchants for Bloody Dancing Steel and Spirit of Conquest will be available in the first Arena Season of Mists of Pandaria. The PvP Power enchant will release next season.

MoP Classic Base Resilience and PvP Update After wrapping up the Test Arena Season on the MoP Classic Beta, we reviewed our experimentation with the different levels of Resilience that were tested (35/57/63/65%), how those values felt for all players of varying skill levels, and the complete set of data for reflection. We also considered and discussed the original Mists of Pandaria and the intent of base Resilience. Beyond welcoming players into PvP at the ground level without a lot of PvP gear, it also was tailormade for a 3v3 Arena Experience. 2v2s and 5v5s did not grant Rank One titles in the original Mists of Pandaria, so it made sense that the focus in the original was purely on the 3v3 bracket. Now that we have titles in the 2v2 and 5v5 brackets, we want to show those brackets the same attention and make the experience across the arenas feel good for players in any bracket. This unique challenge deserves a unique solution. We want these brackets to all be played, feel good, and be competitive. The challenge? One size does not fit all when it comes to base Resilience and team size. In the Beta, we really liked how 63% felt for 2v2s, but for 3v3s, we’re more in favor of slightly higher Resilience. We’ve also been looking at how world PvP and Battlegrounds shaped up in the last week of Beta. Taking everything into consideration, we’ve made a final adjustment before the season starts. In PvP Season 12 - Battlegrounds will have 63% base Resilience (was 65%). - World PvP will have 63% base Resilience (was 65%). - 2v2 Arena matches will have 63% base Resilience (was 65%). -This is an increase of about 6% more damage taken. 3v3 Arena matches will have 64% base Resilience (was 65%). -This is an increase of about 3% more damage taken. - 5v5 Arena matches will have 65% base Resilience (unchanged). The Bloodbath Orb will remain in every Arena starting area, allowing players the choice to influence when dampening will take effect during each match. We’re also turning on two enchants: Enchant Weapon - Bloody Dancing Steel and Enchant Weapon - Spirit of Conquest. These will be available after the first reset of Mogu’shan Vaults and will require 2200 Rating to purchase. Thank you very much for all of your testing and feedback. Think that's just because when someone was making an internal version of the spell they copied the trigger spell from shield block and didn't change the tooltip, but the spell effect is still the normal Law of Nature. So this is just a tooltip on an internal thing that doesn't matter.

@Zirene hey zirene quick question, does law of nature shield enchant in sod give 2% block as well as damage and healing? keep on seeing conflicting stuff, thought I saw this in a PTR build once a couple phases ago but am not sure if it made it into the game. thanks

This effect stacks to 3 and should be 25% of your attack power every time you crit. It's essentially pseudo-block for Druids but giving you a block chance equal to your crit chance and swing timer, and a block value equal to 25% of your attack power. You can stack it up if attacks don't land, and so it ends up being rather good. It also gives better with the other bonuses like increased attack speed because you increase the number of crits you'll get, as you're attacking faster.

@Zirene so it looks like the 2p tank druid bonus indeed stacks 0 times, and the current shield is overwritten if the AP value is higher than previous shield. Any chance this can be raised to like 2-3x stack? Ends up being like a 1-2% EHPS equivalent in its current form.

@ChrisBarry82839 @just_kni Everything on the PTR shifts. You are essentially seeing how the sausage is made. Things are more likely to be squished downward instead of buffed. Don't let it get to you, though, everything is basically fake numbers until it's live.

@Zirene Infusion of Souls seems pretty underwhelming for any caster that is not mage, since it requires you to have 50% haste to benefit from it. I was exited to use it on my spriest but its probably worthless right now.
