Richard Childress Racing has elected to suspend use of the No. 8 and will run the No. 33 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and beyond. Kyle Busch was instrumental in the design of RCR’s stylized No. 8 and it has become synonymous with Kyle and an important symbol for his fans and the NASCAR industry. No one can carry it forward to the level that he did. The No. 8 is reserved and ready for Brexton Busch when he is ready to go NASCAR racing.

@Steelers_DB @DarrellNeloms Those ones that aren’t very rewarding can be a real hurt piece. But the ones that are, like this one, mean the absolute world to you and outweigh the negative by a ton.

Several years ago, I met Michael while covering my very first NFL Combine. He was standing next to me at a prospects podium and I was dead set on introducing myself upon conclusion of that interview. I started off by saying how much I appreciated his work, especially on Around the Horn. Immediately, he asked my name and which outlet I was there with. He asked a ton of questions about my work and showed legitimate interest as if I was the one with a background at ESPN lol We talked about the Steelers, his journey throughout his media career, gave me a bunch of advice from lessons he’s learned along the way before we eventually swerved off to talking about fatherhood. Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to cross paths with a bunch of people that I admired coming up. And I’m here to tell ya that not all of those have been very rewarding. But that 20-25 minute conversation with him is one that I will never forget for a myriad of reasons. All of this to say, I’m praying for peace for his family during what is obviously an incredibly difficult time.
