Nvm the politics, the algorithms create these eco chambers. The more the algorithms give us, the less independent our thoughts. Everyone sees it how they want and it’s reinforced so strongly they can’t even understand someone else’s pov.

It can't be *that* hard to create a version of Twitter/X that removes some of the groupthink but still promotes high-quality engagement and content. And is a portal to the rest of the internet rather than a closed ecosystem, always one of the good things about pre-Elon Twitter.

The roster construction that created this Run Prevention team isn't working. That is on Craig Breslow and Alex Cora. John Henry is to blame as well. The problem is they are spending money recklessly and not smartly. You don't sign a guy like Ranger Suarez who lives on the corners when you incorporate the ABS system. You don't sign guys like Rafaela, Campbell, and Bello to long term, team friendly deals until you really know what their capable of and what their ceilings are. I have said this since 2018: They have no direction.

The Run Prevention Red Sox: Rotation: 5.40 ERA - 27th in MLB 46.2 IP - 23rd in MLB 2nd in MLB in Errors. Only the Rays have been worse. The exact opposite of the identity you were hoping to build. And you’re killing the bullpen with the lack of innings from the rotation.

@HebHammer94 AAV is 26 million but back loaded. 7 million this year, 15 million next year before being expensive. They say the guys a playoff pitcher, that could be a valuable chip in the right circumstances. If we keep him past next year I’d be surprised.

@HebHammer94 My guy, Crochet, Anthony, and Campbell are young affordable contracts. Any potential buyer would be happy having them to keep or trade. Suarez is the only outlier. My guess they signed him bc they think he can go 200 innings a year

@realmatteouse Keeping the books clean? They extended Crochet, Anthony and Chapman last year. Gave $130M to Ranger Suarez and are currently paying a lot to Yoshida, Story and to a lesser degree Bello. Also extended Campbell. Rafaela paid too. The books are not remotely clean.

Tough sequence brewing here: The Red Sox ruined their relationship with Rafael Devers in the name of making Alex Bregman their 3B. So they traded Devers for a package centered around Kyle Harrison and James Tibbs. Despite that, they let Alex Bregman walk just 7 months later over a no-trade clause. So they gave that money to Ranger Suarez (8.64 ERA in 2 GS so far) despite having a full rotation. And made Caleb Durbin (.204 OPS so far) the new 3B. And traded Kyle Harrison (2.61 ERA in 2 GS so far) and more to the Brewers to get him. James Tibbs (7 homers in 9 games this year in AAA) was traded last year for half a season of Dustin May (5.40 ERA in 6 games for BOS).

Sad, Judge Leon and the system will decide “if” a ballroom is allowed. Even if mistakes were made or feelings hurt, at the end of the day it’s a gift to the country. Regardless of “who” did it, it only enhances our country’s reputation.

Ok, Jamie: Let me clear things up for you. If my 5% wealth tax on billionaires was enacted you’d owe $135 million more in taxes & a family of 4 making $150,000 or less would receive a $12,000 payment. Oh, and you’d still be worth more than $2.5 billion. Seems pretty fair to me.
