The only negative I really have about Marathon is that prox chat is literally non-existent. I haven’t heard a single soul in my solo games

final day of me showing that Marathon is a HIT! left is 3 weeks ago, right is today. this algorithm uses trailing averages, so expect the “copies sold” estimate to keep growing well past launch. 300k sales on Steam would be solid… I think it can hit 500k easily in a few weeks.

Marathon server slam is over. It's not toxic gamers spreading hate. If that were true, you would not have seen over 100,000 concurrent as everyone tried this game. They just didn't come back. They didn't just "believe the hate", they played and rejected it on their own. It's not a bad game, it's just not exceptional. People have this mistaken believe that success is a smooth spectrum, but it's not, the top 10 games take the lion share of revenue, everyone else gets scraps. It's a cliff. For an indie game that's fine, but for AAA that's a big problem. Being mid has never been enough to win.

Solo Queue experience is absolutely terrible in Marathon. 1v3 full stacks or get destroyed because your randoms are selfish / can't use a fork. Needs to be separated on launch

@JakeSucky We aren’t “dogging” on new games we’re giving constructive criticism to help them improve so it’s more playable. Not doing that as a Paid Promoter of the games hurts the gaming community more than anything else. These content creators need to be able to that.
