@rickmb @asinnema @sjusjun do you think that needs to happen in women in tech spaces though? i think i'm just at a point where i personally much prefer "being the change" rather than talking about the need for change (although again i'm really glad other people are out there doing that).

@rickmb @asinnema @sjusjun I avoid women in tech events because I've heard it all before a million times and it frustrates the hell out of me. I think it's important work but yea I'm not the audience that needs to hear it.

@TejasKumar_ With a caveat though - some people hate being praised in public, especially if we're talking big company meeting public. Sometimes a team slack channel is preferable.

Praise in public, rebuke in private.
