It appears there are many on X who think having up to 7 weeks of paid vacation (like Canada Post workers) is normal. Yes, I know it is after many years of service. Even then, it is far from normal - outside of the public sector of course.

Craft is a really effective stim-a self-stimulating activity that moves the brain away from fight or flight. True for all flavours of brain, neurotypical or neurodivergent, tho' ND brains have significantly more input to process-craft is especially helpful at quelling ND anxiety:

@grilledscheese_ Unless the postal employee was hired in the last four years. This has been standard practice. Employees on strike lose benefits and then get reimbursed after the strike. I’m so sorry for this family it’s added stress to an already stressful time. Many families suffering.

Injury update: Good news: no concussion Bad news: severe bruising on my lower back and I cracked a rib. All good - I will be back at it again next weekend.

I come a long line of Blairs who lived well into their 90s and sometimes even longer, so still processing the loss of my brilliant brother Mike last night at the age of 78. Totally unexpected. Thinking of his kids today, and how we never have as much time as we think. RIP.

@peggy_blair It’s a very long healing process. I’ve had it in both shoulders. I lived on Aleve and Physiotherapy.

Anyone else find that their shoulder injury is recurrent? I have a winged scapula/ frozen shoulder. Was feeling much better yesterday and mowed the lawn with my battery- operated mower and today my shoulder is killing me.

@smwgilbert I believe it, way less distractions. No chit chat about last nights game, blah blah blah. Impromptu meetings in the halls etc.

I am 100% more productive when I work at home. I produce better products in half of the time.

Friends! So many of you have been worried about Ralphy so we thought we’d dedicate our #Caturday post to him. Mum snapped this casual photo yesterday. As you can see, he still comes in to see us, but he doesn’t want to go anywhere near the Kittens. He seems a bit freaked out by them! We aren’t purposely keeping him away - it’s his choice. Perhaps he’ll warm to them - but our door is always open to Ralphy so there’s no need to worry about him. He’s fine ❤️❤️ #Ralphy #CatsofX
