The fight at the junkyard was probably going to happen anyway because Calvin Skylars never planned to join the agreement with the other gangs. But Jake’s communication problems made the situation worse. I think that Rolfe may have disrupted Jake’s signal so he would fail. That would give her a reason to remove him from the mission without directly trying to kill him.

#shutline #셔트라인 I’m back to share more of my summary/analysis! This time, let’s look at Season 3 - Episodes 81, 93-95. This is just my interpretation, and it’s another long one 🙃 🚨 Spoilers Episode 93: At the end, Rolfe is talking to Senator Connor. She wants more money for taking Agent Jay (Jake) off the mission (Episode 81). Connor wants Jake dead. Rolfe seems reluctant, so Connor says he’ll handle it himself. Connor then reveals that he has information on Rolfe. Episode 94: At the beginning, Rolfe is still talking to Senator Connor. He is upset because Rolfe has been doing a lot of unauthorized things, such as wiretapping. He is also frustrated that Jake found out about “Senator Connor” (Episodes 62-63). Rolfe is removed from the project. Episode 95: Jake and Rolfe discuss how disposable they are to the people above them. Both are liabilities and both are in danger. Jake reveals that he knew Rolfe had been collecting information on CIA executives. So he mixed fake information into that intel and sent it to the higher-ups, knowing they would remove her. After their conversation, they agree to work together. Why did Jake go out of his way to deal with Rolfe? > To protect Shin. In Episode 81, Jake was taken off the mission and clashed with Rolfe. Jake warned her that he was not afraid to “snap her ankles,” and said he had information that would make her regret removing him from the mission. Rolfe still removed Jake from the mission. Episode 95 reveals what Jake did with that information, as explained above. Later in Episode 81, when Jake returned to his hideout, someone had broken in and left a photo of Shin. This made it clear that they knew Jake’s weakness. It was a threat. Then in Episode 94, after Rolfe was removed from the project, she is seen holding a copy of that same photo of Shin. She is frustrated because Jake got ahead of her, she did not get rid of Shin first, and now she has to work with Jake in order to survive. So I think Jake went after Rolfe because Shin had become part of the threat. Rolfe knew Shin was Jake’s weakness, and Jake knew she was dangerous enough to use that against him. What is currently happening in Shutline Season 3? > Right now, Jake and Shin are on the mission to catch Ross Trautvein. They are still in the planning and preparation stage. Ross has an upcoming charity event that he plans to use to bring more powerful people to his side after losing his drug and money laundering deals with the Mercifuls (Season 1: Episodes 30-42), the biker gang, and the prison gang (Season 2: Episodes 66-77). At the same time, Ross also has sinister plans for Shin. Jake and Shin were finally able to talk. Jake admits that mistakes were made in their relationship and says that things will get better when the mission is complete.
