But they couldn't turn to the state's public guardian, which almost never accepts new cases.

@WilySnowPena I’m saying that if Vandy can’t fill even 1/20th of a stadium 8 hours from campus, that’s a Vandy problem.
Yes, NU fans would have travelled anywhere. The ability to drive to OkC from Nebraska — the same ability Vandy fans in Tennessee had — made it easier, as it’s supposed to.

It’s important to remember that fans of SEC basketball teams don’t have cars or driver’s licenses or an ability to rent Oklahoma City hotel rooms.

Nashville to Oklahoma City…8 1/2 hours.
Also way easier to fly in from

@redcloud_scribe Would have loved to go and support VU. I live in CLT. OKC was not one of the sites I could have traveled to, due to many factors. Good for the NU fanbase.
But that was no neutral site, and just another hurdle that the NCAA is all too happy to stick in Vanderbilt's way.
