@TheCatchingGuy Catching at lower levels was awesome cause if your pitcher could hit your glove it's basically a strike. Our closer lived 3 inches off the plate but as long as my glove didn't move we'd usually get the calls

This is a perfect example of “how a catcher receives a pitch can greatly affect what the umpire sees and what they call it.” A lot of people argue that what we do as catchers doesn’t matter and a strike is a strike due to where it crosses the plate. I’m a firm believer (Cont.)

Should school administrators be seen as instructional leaders? I've never viewed my principals as being instructional leaders...they do a host of other important jobs that are necessary for a functioning school...but teaching isn't one of them. I know there are different expectations in different areas of the world with different types of schools. This is just my experience.

Tristan Jarry was waived and sent to the minors 14 months ago by Pittsburgh. Him not providing NHL-calibre goaltending this season really shouldn’t come as that much of a surprise. Let’s be honest, the only surprise is giving up Skinner, Kulak, and a second-round pick to get him.
