So very tired of the phrase “On the same page” in work calls and e-mails that I’m considering some creative alternatives: “Tuned in to the same channel”; “Coloring with the same crayons”; “Bushwhacking in the same forest”…. Any suggestions? Help me out, #WritingCommunity 😅

@JBsTwoCents Early in my parenting journey I was told “it gets different” and that has helped me manage my expectations and even give myself a modicum of grace from time to time.

The general sentiment in these replies is "it gets better," and I can't help but think that might only apply to neurotypical, healthy kids?

Is there a support group for parents who suffer extreme stress trying to decide which colors of #Primary items to buy for their children?

@katjl_ @dorieturnernolt I have a lot of luck letting my 5yo invade the spice drawer. She comes up with some weird combos (broccoli and cinnamon, anyone?) but that small bit of autonomy is helpful. And everything bagel spice on sauteed kale is quite good!

My 6yo just asked for vegetables to eat. Am I being pranked?

Back in the days of yore, voice calls were the only way to immediately reach someone. We also had these things called “answering machines” that allowed one to listen while a caller left a voice message and determine if the call was worthy of a pick-up. We called it “screening.”
