I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that. Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it. Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games. Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on. As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

What happens if Arne Slot turns up at Villa Park this evening with a full head of hair and refuses to admit he used to be bald. Is there a plan in place for that?

Lose twice to Man Utd, twice to PSG, three times to Man City and three times to Crystal Palace. Lose 3-0 at home to Forest, then chuck in a defeat to Wolves for good measure. Nine losses in twelve games, the worst record in the league for goals conceded from set pieces, and dumped out of every competition. Then you’re told your job is safe… and somehow people are surprised nothing improves.

In the season FSG acquired Liverpool, (2010/11) matchday revenue was £40.9m. Last season it was £115.6m, an increase of 183%. Matchday revenue is average attendance x number of matches x average price. Fans have to pay VAT of 20% on top of the revenue earned by the Club too. Taking this into account, the price paid by a fan have increased from £42.44 to £82.11, which is 93.5% during the time that CPI has increased by 49.6%. Part of this will be due to an increase in the proportion of tickets sold to corporate/hospitality/member fans, but even so, is there justification in the increases in ticket prices to STH? Liverpool's success in attracting fans from all over the world is partly due to the vibrancy, the passion and the legend of the Kop (similar to the Stretford End, Kippax, Gallowgate, Clock End etc at other clubs historically) and current owners FSG have benefited from that. They are standing on the shoulders of giants, but they seem to see those fans as a historical inconvenience and now want those fans to either pay up or move on. @spiritofshankly @IanByrneMP @JamesPearceLFC

I used to take Liverpool losing personally. Everyone knew if they lost I’d be in a foul mood for the rest of the day. I was that invested. But this season something’s changed. The anger’s gone, the passion’s faded, and now when they lose I just don’t care. I’m not arsed. It’s a strange feeling, but I just don’t feel connected to this Liverpool team anymore.

Spot on @NickyAllt - using the Bank of England inflation calculator, clubs now like to use, it would be £10.47 to go in the stands and £4.41 in the Kop if we used inflation as the calculator- some will say look at the wages but that is fuelled by TV money not admission prices

@OllieHolt22 We have been awful for over a year. I have been a season ticket holder since the late 80s and watched some dross in my time but I have never seen it like this. He has sucked the life out the team and the club. Every player has regressed under him.

Liverpool were ripped apart by PSG tonight. Easy to blame Slot. Harder to accept that Liverpool are now a team in transition. I think Slot deserves time to oversee that transition. Others don't. dailymail.co.uk/sport/football…

All no win situations coming up. Manage a win against PSG then you wonder why they play when they want. If we lose and they keep Slot until the end of the season then the toxicity builds between club, players and fans. Club is in a mess which hurts
