Shocking Video Shows Brawl on Valleys Train. A shocking video has surfaced showing a violent altercation on a Transport for Wales train between Treherbert and Cardiff Central on Tuesday, August 6th. The 8:42pm service was halted at Ton Pentre station after dozens of young people were involved in a brawl with another passenger and a member of staff. The video, shows young people physically and verbally abusing each other, a passenger, and a staff member. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported. Transport for Wales confirmed the incident stemmed from a disagreement over loud music and assured it was not linked to last week's fatal stabbing in Southport. They stated, "We were appalled at the anti-social behaviour seen on the Treherbert line on Tuesday evening. We appreciate young people want to gather during school holidays and use public transport, however we will not tolerate this behaviour against colleagues and customers." Member of the Senedd for Rhondda, Buffy Williams, expressed her outrage: "Completely speechless. Absolutely appalled and disgusted by the video that shows youngsters attacking a passenger and a guard on a train at Ton station last night. I hope they're not seriously harmed following the completely unacceptable attack." Transport for Wales praised the staff's bravery, saying, "We are extremely proud of our colleagues who maintained high levels of professionalism and displayed considerable courage during this incident."
