@AccessTheAnimus Can we at least get different options for combat then? Having only two swords isn't really good. At the very least should be able to switch between single and dual swords.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will not feature Hidden Blade Combat like in the original. The Hidden Blade will instead allow for "fatal, contextual (and BLOODY!) takedowns" after breaking enemy defenses

That's a wrap on Replaced 🎮 Put in about 10 hours and had a great time with this one! I think it's probably not too surprising to say that this game's visuals are some of the most stunning I've had the pleasure of experiencing. There's so much care and effort put into making the world of Phoenix City and the surrounding areas feel real and lived in, with copious amounts of detail in the urban cyberpunk aesthetic. You can feel it oozing 'Blade Runner', all wrapped up in a gorgeous half-pixel art, half 3D render technique that's just mesmerizing to look at. It's all accentuated with fantastic sound design and fitting cyberpunky synth/rock. I played on my Series X and performance felt nice and crisp, sans the occasional hiccup when a checkpoint would register onscreen. The story also had my attention for most of the way through, even if I could see some of its main plot points coming. I wouldn't say it was too surprising from the genre but I liked Reach (main character) and was satisfied with his (its?) growth over the course of the game. It felt like a fitting character arc from start to finish. Some of the cast were a little grating lol (*cough* Tempest) but I was fairly enamored with the world overall. Combat felt satisfying and I liked the way it expanded through each chapter or every other chapter with new moves and ways of countering enemies. Some of the later fights can get pretty crazy from a dexterity perspective with lots of enemies onscreen each with their own attacks and patterns that require you to really be on your guard. It definitely gets the blood flowing. I did find myself wishing for a manual run/sprint button, or at least a feeling of something faster paced during fights instead of a slow walk speed. I also found myself getting a little frustrated during some platforming sections where I'd miss a ledge or pipe that I felt was completely within reach, and also wished platforming was just a tad bit more responsive overall, but I'd still say it was enjoyable to move about each level. Technically it wasn't absolutely perfect the entire time. I did encounter some bugs where I got stuck in the environment during one of the main boss fights, which wasn't fun, and a checkpoint not loading here or there, but nothing too egregious that took away from the overall experience. As a whole, I really had an awesome time though. I just loved the audiovisual design so much, and I have to really commend the team there. I'm excited for Sad Cat's future and look forward to what they cook up next. For a debut title, this was a great first experience! Cheers @sadcatstudios! ✌️ #Replaced #XboxSeriesX
