I cannot begin to express how much I hate car dealerships.
I am spending $700 per week in fuel using a big diesel truck for quotes right now. It wasn’t intentional, it just worked out that way.
I need a quote truck by Monday. It will literally save me $400 per week, including the price of the truck!
The process of buying it is absolutely atrocious. The chit chat, the pushing for you to buy something you don’t want, the back and forth on options, the upsells, the inventory checking.
What I want is very simple and clear. I’m looking at 15 of them on your lot right now. Why do we have to do this stupid dance? Just take this check, let me know when it’s ready to pick up. Bye!
This is the reason my personal vehicle is a Tesla. I just go on the website, fill out my information, and click buy.
Having to buy all these trucks for the company means I’m doing this awful song and dance multiple times a year and wasting literally days worth of my time. In the last 12 months I’ve probably drank 2 gallons of coffee at car dealerships. 🤦♂️

Overheard 20 seconds of a first date at my coffee shop this morning:
Man: I hate how hot Austin gets in the summer. You can’t do anything.
Woman: it’s hot, but it’s not all bad. What about Barton Springs?
Man: that’s fun for 60 minutes, then what do you do the rest of the day?
Woman: well, would you live someplace else?
Man: I could never do New York because it’s too cold in the winter, and LA is too spread out…
0% chance Mr. Negative gets a second date 🤢

@QC_Capitals depends on the loan. mathematically if the loan rate is low and you’re VERY assured what you invest it in will outperform it and you won’t have to burn too much to pay back the loan in the new time- yes you’ll come out ahead

@micheal_ws18 working. starting my deep investing. i also think i was dreading life and feeling stuck in 2016.

so i ended up taking 2.5 weeks off my workout program (resistance + cardio).
one week was a de-load week and a friend driving in to visit and vacation for a week. road trips every day.
the previous week i just was t feeling right mentally so took it off.
then a half week of recovery from the friend visiting and our packed road trips for a week lol.
man the first workout back was horrible and painful lol. but today- return workout #2? omg it felt good and an excellent workout- and it’s my weaker less enjoyable split too!
feels SO GOOD to be back into it!!! missed it!
now- time to restock eggs from costco!!!!

English

@reecheero Difference between people who can take a joke and people who are actually salty about the market coming out right about now lol

@Mans_Ascent @HeyYoungKings as well as the people starting to notice you adds to that too :)

and ideally start developing your side gig or business in the side so you can avoid the rat race at some point (investing qualifies as a side gig or business as investing is essentially the practice of buying ownership shares into an asset or company other people made).
become an owner, not an employee.
what’s more/ i get to vote what the conpanies i own do since i get to vote on what i want them to do- last time you could do this as an employee?

The best advice I can give someone is to not quit his/her job right now. If you have a stable income, hold on to it.
We're entering turbulent times, shit we're already been in it for many months (years) now.
Just because someone else was able to quit their job and retire, doesn't mean you should do so too. For some people it's the worst financial decision they could make.
I've heard people with <$10,000 to their name in cash, maybe $20,000 in stocks or bitcoin .. shouting they're quitting their job with NO plan whatsoever.
That's just straight up dangerous.

@simplecentsco luckily been forever because my emerge y fund was outpaced my need to use it for decades now

@ImBreckWorsham men don’t corner the market on lying lol. pen ty of that shit going around

I'm a woman. I'm accustomed to men lying to me, which is why I remain single.
I'm a journalist who's covered politics professionally since 2008. I'm accustomed to politicians lying to me. That's just what they do.
I don't trust people. Which is why I don't associate with many of them.
But Trump snuck right in under my radar, man. He made me trust him. I BELIEVED him when he said he was different.
Never again.
Never, NEVER again.
English

@Green_k100 that’s why the primary relationship and person we should date is ourselves first
English

@RoaringHammy it could be the “keeping up with the jones’s” mentality. or it’s getting caught up in the glorified social influencer world we live in.
English

@Leo_Traydes it won’t wait that long lol. maybe. i need it to rebound a bit the next 1-2 yrs though for me .
