I don't agree though. Scale in three key points is: a. Revenue grows faster than costs. If your revenue grows while costs stay constant or reduces, that's scale. If both increases, that's just "growing". b. Systems handle more customers without breaking. Which simply means if your tech, processes, and teams can serve more customers without breaking. c. The business model is repeatable. You already know who your customer is, how to acquire them, and how to deliver value consistently. On repeat! Paystack is scaled. Dangote is (spread cost that eventually reduces unit cost). Interestingly Jumia, Chowdeck and Domino Pizza are not scaled. Yet, geographically, they tend to be everywhere.
