@BetoORourke So what exactly is the solution? Most working class ppl are now under paid because of inflation. You can’t just tweet out random facts to bolster up your base. We need real solutions, not just political banter and sound bites. Show me why I should vote for you specifically.

No Texas teacher should have to work a second or third job just to make ends meet.

@Mike_Christie_ @BetoORourke You show a complete lack of understanding about teacher pay in the 20th century. Counties got away with low pay because it was a female dominated profession for a century. Texas is not a teacher union state.

@BetoORourke Teachers should make what their communities can pay. Teachers can move the community can't. Money was not what people went into teaching for. They along with, policeman, and ministers were held in high respect in their communities - then came the unions and the progressives.

@kcristol It seems now that @kcristol has camp age kids she suddenly thinks this is an issue. This has been a problem for ten years.

Many mentions re: summer registration meltdown; to address in one place: Camp isn't just enrichment, it's essential childcare for parents of young kids, who've already taken it on the chin throughout the pandemic. It's unacceptable that DPR's registration system failed - again.

@kcristol This isn't a new phenomenon. Every year thousands of arlington parents try to register. And every year DPR says they were not prepared for the level of interest. What is the CB going to do to change this? Besides just tweet out something to try to make parents feel better?
