@SingaporeAir @SingaporeAir well I found it myself while in transit, in a pretty small pile in the arrivals hall. Why nobody could do that in two weeks I don't know...

me: let's go to adelaide! my friends: sounds great, we can go to wineries! me: hmm. how about a weird roundabout instead? or maybe a cool bus system? or the reversible one-way freeway (which is now two ways)?

@simonlbn @lyda Still do, but it's fan-forced rather than infrared. My feline coworkers also enjoy it.

@michaelhedgpeth @nathenharvey If speed is your primary goal, then you probably want automation instead. It's way faster than we are. I say this is in the context of playbooks, where if you're able to be extremely prescriptive in what the oncaller should do, it's a sign that you need automation not a human.

@nathenharvey @reesencybias I usually want both a complicated and a fast response when I page people, kind of like the same as when I dial 911. Is there a nuance that I’m missing here? Why must I choose?

@flowblok I enjoy volunteering to make the complicated rotation changes, with the condition I get to make it use UTC as part of the process.

Sure, naming things and cache invalidation are hard. But have you considered oncall rotations, which involve both timezones and people?

The "Fewer like this" button doesn't quite work how I want it to on this one.

@sevandyk Huge physical transformation happens to one or more characters that deeply affects them, is magically reversed and never spoken of again. Even if they left behind the beginnings of a new lizard society. Points to Locutus for avoiding this.

What's your least favorite star trek plot? I'm torn between "evil plants on a beautiful garden planet" and "alien with godlike powers attempts to take over the Enterprise".
