I want Hytale to be more like Terraria than Minecraft so this is a win for me

Six months ago, Jeb from Mojang tried Hytale and said "I'd like it to be more different to Minecraft." He was right, and I said it then too. The features that make us unique weren't in the game yet. Hytale and Minecraft will always be compared, but we're not trying to make the same kind of game. Yesterday's blog shows what that means for the future. Handcrafted dungeons with multi-phase boss fights, combat abilities, runeforging, world events, companions involved in the crafting loop, and much more. We want to be a deeper RPG, a stronger adventure identity, and a game that will evolve massively over the next few years. We just happen to be a block game, and we are just getting started.

@komet_ Okay even though my original tweet was not slander in any way this is kind of a bad comparison I'd say. During Flowery's fight, even though they're down it's Susie and Ralsei who heals him, when they can just. Heal themselves first? While during this fight it's K Round itself.

@floraplays Ralsei also knows this, which is why he had to guide us over the spikes in chapter 5’s floor button puzzle. Susie doesn’t know this, however—she just ignores restrictions because she can. Unless it’s physically immovable, she can and will get past it (unless kris says no)

i have a theory that carol, working w/ kris, is deliberately blocking the player/soul from leaving hometown. npc's are able to cross collision boxes and border transitions we can't. knowing we have these limitations, why not use it to their advantage?

told a coworker on my way home i handled counts and stock for them so their closing shift goes smoothly (truth be told, i did my half of the counts way too fast and ended up doing all of them anyway) and they texted back “has anyone told you i love you”
