@uvdn7 It's fairly cheap to implement on a shared memory machine because you can rely on barriers without having to worry about failure modes. Any clues?

@GeneParkNY@markbspiegel The ability to compound while deferring tax liability is already a big win for the investor. If you really want to get the accounting right, tax only real gains but compound the taxes.
@markbspiegel You don't index ordinary income rates for inflation because they are all earned in the same year. Just like short-term capital gains. There actually is a sound theoretical reason why these 2 rates should be the same and LT rates should be lower.

@elonmusk@Tesla Bug report: My parents won't get their M3 because Tesla won't process the VAT refund to which the Swiss government entitles them to. No clear reason given by the sales staff in #Zurich. Being a software eng, I would work FOR FREE to get this fixed in your system
@ShannonLeePerr1@elonmusk@Tesla 1/2 So the Swiss gvt entitles my parents to VAT exemption due to diplomatic job in CH. Any retailer is bound to exempt them from paying the VAT on goods worth more than a certain amount, and then the retailer can justify thanks to provided documentation...
