Painfully true, however I'd include Holicworks (released Suito wa Hakumei this year) and CORE-DUSK's new sister brand procyon (set to release Tokyo Gentou soon) among active brands. In general, though, BLge fans mostly have to rely on older & indie titles 😔

1). BL games basically don't exist anymore. there's 1-2 non-indie BL game publishers (parade and nitro+chiral), which release a game like every 5 years. nitro+chiral seems to be on death's door too.

@Firestorm71717 I'm a pretty huge fan of Messiah myself. Haven't read Fanatica yet, but definitely plan to get around to it once I've cleared off a bit more of my backlog.

Just read Kusarihime (& jamais vu). Very important work that influenced a great deal of eroge that came in its wake. In a different world, I wonder if Kurame doesn't become as well known among western VN fans as Saya is. I'll be thinking about this one for a long time to come.
