The Psychology of the End-time Deception "And ALL the WORLD WONDERED after the BEAST." (Revelation 13:3) Before the world worships the beast... It first wonders after the beast. This is one of the most profound statements in Bible prophecy. The Holy Spirit reveals that the final apostasy will not begin with force. • It will begin with admiration. • It will begin with amazement. • It will begin with the world's confidence in a papal system that appears to have the answers to humanity's greatest problems. Wonder Precedes Worship Notice the divine order. "All the world wondered after the beast." (Revelation 13:3) Then... "They worshipped the dragon... and they worshipped the beast." (Revelation 13:4) The world does not suddenly wake up one morning worshipping the beast. First... They admire. Then... They trust. Finally... They surrender their allegiance. This has always been Satan's method. In Eden, Eve: First... LOOKED, Then... DESIRED, Finally.... ATE (Genesis 3:6). Deception always begins by capturing the mind before controlling the actions. Why Does the World Wonder? Because the Papacy appears to possess the answers. The world longs for: Peace. Unity. Stability. Security. Prosperity. Moral leadership. When humanity reaches the point where it believes Papal religious-political system can solve its deepest crises, admiration naturally follows. Yet Scripture warns: "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12) The Beast Receives Universal Admiration John writes: "Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?" (Revelation 13:4) This language is remarkable. It echoes praise that belongs to God alone. Compare: "Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods?" (Exodus 15:11) The Papacy receives admiration that mirrors the reverence due only to God. This is the essence of counterfeit worship. Wonder Leads to Worship Revelation never separates admiration from worship. First: Wonder. Then: Worship. Satan understands that hearts captured by admiration soon surrender their allegiance. This is why Scripture repeatedly warns: "Little children, keep yourselves from idols." (1 John 5:21) An idol is anything that occupies the place that belongs to God alone. The Whole World Is Deceived Revelation says: "All that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life." (Revelation 13:8) Earlier John identified Satan as: "...that old serpent... which deceiveth the whole world." (Revelation 12:9) The final crisis is therefore not merely political. It is a worldwide deception. Jesus Himself warned: "Take heed that no man deceive you." (Matthew 24:4) "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets... insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." (Matthew 24:24) Only One Group Refuses to Wonder While the world wonders... Another group stands. "Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Revelation 14:12) While the world follows the beast... They follow the Lamb. "These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth." (Revelation 14:4) Their confidence is not in earthly systems. It is in Christ. The Final Test Is Allegiance The Great Controversy has never been about military power alone. It has always been about worship. Isaiah records Lucifer's ambition: "I will exalt my throne... I will be like the most High." (Isaiah 14:13–14) Revelation shows the fulfillment of that ambition. Satan receives worship through the Papal system. "They worshipped the dragon... and they worshipped the beast." (Revelation 13:4) Thus the world's admiration becomes the doorway to its submission. In the end, the object of your admiration will become the object of your allegiance, and the object of your allegiance will become the object of your worship.

The Divine Authority of Scripture "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16 The Bible is not man's opinion about God. It is God's revelation to man. Scripture does not derive its authority from the church. The church derives its authority from Scripture. The Bible was not inspired because men approved it. It is authoritative because God breathed it. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God..." The phrase "given by inspiration of God" literally means "God-breathed." Every doctrine, every promise, every warning, every command, and every prophecy bears the stamp of divine authority. Because the Author is God, the Bible stands above every human authority. Above tradition. Above culture. Above philosophy. Above religious institutions. Above church councils. Above popular opinion. Above personal experience. "Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119:89) The question is never, "What does my church teach?" The first question must always be, "What has God said?" Scripture Defines Truth Paul declares that Scripture is profitable for doctrine. Doctrine is not established by majority vote, ecclesiastical decree, or ancient tradition. Every teaching must be tested by the written Word of God. "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isaiah 8:20) If a doctrine cannot stand the test of Scripture, it cannot claim the authority of God. Scripture Corrects Error The Bible is profitable for reproof and correction. God's Word does not merely comfort us. It confronts us. It exposes sin. It tears down falsehood. It corrects cherished errors. The Scriptures are not given to confirm our opinions, but to transform them. A heart that refuses correction cannot grow in truth. Scripture Produces Holiness The Bible is profitable for instruction in righteousness. Its purpose is not merely to fill the mind with knowledge, but to conform the life to the character of Christ. Jesus prayed: "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17) The same Word that reveals our sin also points us to the Savior who forgives, transforms, and empowers us to walk in obedience. The Final Authority In the wilderness, Jesus answered every temptation with three words: "It is written." (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10) If the Son of God appealed to Scripture as the final authority, no Christian can safely appeal to anything higher. In the last days, countless voices compete for our allegiance. Tradition speaks. Culture speaks. Religious leaders speaks. Human wisdom speaks. But above them all stands the voice of God in His Word. The Bible is not one authority among many. It is the supreme authority because it is the very Word of the living God. Every doctrine. Every tradition. Every preacher. Every church. Every spiritual experience. Every religious system. Must bow before the testimony of Scripture. For when God has spoken, the matter is forever settled. "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." (Matthew 24:35)

When The Word is Hidden in the Heart "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." - Psalm 119:11 Victory over sin does not begin with stronger willpower. It begins with God's Word dwelling in the heart. Notice carefully what David does NOT say: "Thy Word have I carried in my hand." "Thy Word have I placed on my shelf." "Thy Word have I heard with my ears." He says, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart." The heart is the control center of life. "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." (Proverbs 4:23) Whatever fills the heart shapes the thoughts. Thoughts shape decisions. Decisions shape character. Character determines destiny. This is why Satan's greatest objective is to keep the Word of God out of the heart. He knows that an unread Bible is powerless, a neglected Bible is ineffective, and a forgotten Bible cannot strengthen the soul in the hour of temptation. But the Word treasured in the heart becomes a shield against deception and a sword against temptation. Jesus demonstrated this in the wilderness. Every temptation was met with one answer: "It is written." (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10) Christ overcame, not by miracles, but by the written Word of God hidden in His heart. The same weapon is given to every believer. The Christian who hides God's Word in his heart carries heaven's defense wherever he goes. When temptation comes, the Spirit brings remembered Scripture to the mind. When doubt arises, the Word speaks faith. When deception appears, the truth exposes the lie. When discouragement overwhelms, God's promises give hope. The battle against sin is first won in the mind, and the mind is transformed by the Word of God. "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." (Romans 12:2) A Bible left unopened cannot transform a life. A verse merely admired cannot sanctify the soul. But Scripture believed, memorized, cherished, and obeyed becomes the living voice of God within the heart. The strongest Christian is not the one who possesses the largest Bible. It is the one in whom the Bible possesses the heart. For when God's Word fills the heart, there is less room for the world, less room for sin, and more room for Christ. A dusty Bible usually belongs to a struggling Christian. But a heart filled with God's Word is a fortress that Satan finds difficult to conquer.

@renewingprotest The saints at Berea were more noble than those at Thessalonica because they searched the scriptures daily to see whether the things preached by Paul were so. Bible reading is healthy for Christian growth and victories

@renewingprotest At my stage I need books to help me understand the Word, but there was an old (now passed) minister in my church who, when near the end of his life, downsized into a very small house and got rid of most of his books. He said, "I am content only to read the Bible."

@renewingprotest Honestly I don’t know any religion that does that. The soul is Gods’. Only the owner of the soul can place things between themselves and God. Religions only define the methods to demonstrate the worship of God or gods.
