@joshwhitlatch, I am looking for the post you were quoting, something in it struck a thought, but not I do not see it. I noticed that they were using the "queen of heaven" language, and referencing Jeremiah 44 to back it up. Did this person not actually read Jeremiah 44, but just searched "queen of heaven" in a search engine and slap it in there? Or, finally saying the quiet part out loud, and admitting that it is, in fact, idolatry?

Why is it most of the “faith alone is heresy” people have rotten fruit online? You would think if your works are saving you that you would act like it.

What you state is the "Catholic position" is often used to say works and faith are together so faith includes works.

Jay Dyer saying Protestant theology ultimately has no ontological change to the person who holds it is dishonest. Repentance, living a life where your works prove your faith, putting to death the passions are all ontological changes.

@joshwhitlatch Some people believe it subtly, or some are kind of in practice not taking into account Christ doing it all... it's a great refresher to put that burden on Him. People need to hear it's nothing they do but grasping Him by faith. Keep up the good work of the good race!

The amount of people on here and online elsewhere, that preach some type of sinless perfection, or striving to be good to maintain their salvation really is heartbreaking.

WHEREAS we believe if u ADD anything BUT faith in Jesus ur not saved.

Faith alone (which is what you believe not me) is works dont save you but good works is a result. Faith with Love (which is what I believe) is works dont save you but true faith is interwoven with good works. @805peej @joshwhitlatch I would say that if it is based on how sorrowful we are, we'd all be doomed. The meaning of turning from unbelief to God must be the meaning of repent and believe. But we do as believers also turn from sin daily, often imperfectly.

@joshwhitlatch I think Grudem said it beautifully: “Repentance is a heartfelt sorrow for sin, a renouncing of it, and a sincere commitment to forsake it and walk in obedience to Christ.” An intellectual, emotional, and volitional change.
