On this National Medal of Honor Day, I’m proud to be part of a group working to bring a bust of former Arkansas Lieutenant Governor Maurice “Footsie” Britt to the Arkansas State Capitol. Before Footsie Britt was a success in sports, business, and public service, he was a war hero. For his extraordinary valor on the battlefields of World War II, he became the first U.S. Army soldier of the war to receive all of the Army's top combat decorations, including the Medal of Honor. I look forward to seeing the finished bronze bust unveiled at the Arkansas State Capitol later this year.

Today, we recognize and remember the brave men and women who acted with valor, going above and beyond the call of duty in service to our nation. National Medal of Honor Day.

This National Agriculture Day, we celebrate the farmers, ranchers, producers, and all those who help feed our nation, here in Arkansas and across the country. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

More proof Democrats are out of step. Today, they voted against: ❌ Deporting foreigners who defraud America ❌ A balanced budget amendment ❌ Protecting Americans’ right to hunt and fish Meanwhile, Senate Democrats continue to vote against funding DHS and block voter ID requirements. They’ve made their priorities clear.

Praying for Susie Wiles. She's as tough as they come, and I have no doubt she will fight this with the same grace and determination she brings to everything she does. Martha and I are wishing her successful treatment and a full recovery.

Hosted my 2026 HBCU Summit at Arkansas Baptist College yesterday, bringing together leaders from education, business, philanthropy, and government to discuss how we strengthen and support HBCUs in Arkansas and across the nation. Was honored to be joined by my co-chair of the House HBCU Caucus, the “Godmother of HBCUs” herself, NC @RepAdams. Special thanks to Gov. @SarahHuckabee for joining us. Arkansas’s HBCUs couldn’t have a stronger advocate in the Governor’s Mansion. And thanks to all the panelists for a thoughtful conversation. Together, we can ensure Arkansas’s HBCUs remain strong engines of opportunity for generations to come.

Last week, the Committee advanced the Main Street Capital Access Act sponsored by Chairman @RepFrenchHill and @RepAndyBarr. The bill will revitalize local bank formation and ensure that community lenders can focus on serving families, small businesses, and local economies, making life more affordable for Americans and empowering Main Street.

WATCH: Chairman @RepFrenchHill on tackling affordability for consumers: "In my work in the House, I have done 3 things that directly relate to affordability. One, I wrote the Price Stability Act, which says that says the Federal Reserve should be focused on fighting inflation... Point two, I have authored a bill, Main Street Capital Access, that encourages community banks to be out making more loans and adding more capital to things like housing construction, local businesses which increases supply that brings down prices, and finally our 21st Century Housing Act we passed in house with 390 votes directly tackles cost per square foot of constructing new housing." 📺⬇️
